I might be late to the revelation, but upon re-watching the last episode of WandaVision I realised that HexVision having a Mind Stone didn’t seem to give him any advantages over White Vision who understandably didn’t have one. They were very much evenly matched, as far as I could tell.
Wherever the Vision has gone, I hope he makes a stop in Wakanda and lets Shuri take a good look at him. The girl is clearly light years ahead of everything those guys at SWORD could come up with.
Plus she’s been scanning the Mind Stone in The Infinity War, so who knows… maybe she could bring even more of the old Vision back.
Okay, so regarding the “Vision is evil now” theory - the new Vision is very much not evil.
First, as stated in this post, new Vision retains all the best parts of the original Vision, he just had his memory wiped off and was programmed specifically to kill the Hex Vision and Wanda.
The original Vision wasn’t a complete angel, he was very much capable of being pissed of (see the Civil War airport battle) and angry, so it’s not very much a surprise that this new Vision is also capable of negative emotions and can be destructive if need be.
And remember - if new Vision was actually evil, had completely lost all of his personality, he would have never stoped mid battle to request elaboration from the Hex Vision. He is not just a mindless evil killing machine - he is still the Vision, who lost a small part of his personality (the mind stone), had his memory wiped out. Despite his “programming” done by the SWORD he was still very much capable of exercising his free will - he stoped fighting the Hex Vision and willingly let him return his memories.
What the Hex Vision done was basically reverse whatever programming was done by the SWORD and giving Vision his memories back.
Now, I’m very much not sure if it means Vision is anywhere near to where he was. He’s been through some nasty shit.
But I think it’s hella intriguing to see how his relationship with Wanda is going to progress. Because I want to believe that all was not in vain and they will find each other again - the New Vision, Wanda and the boys.
I see some confusion in the tags and theories already forming… I have to say, I’m not so sure myself of what is going to happen next in regards to Vision himself and his relationship with Wanda, but I believe the answer lies in two dialogues - one that happened in The Infinity War between Vision and Bruce Banner:
Bruce (to Vision): Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. Jarvis, Ultron, Tony, me, the stone. All of them mixed together, all of them learning from one another.
Wanda:You’re saying Vision isn’t just the stone?
Bruce:I’m saying that if we take out the stone… there’s still a whole lot of Vision left. Perhaps the best parts.
And another is The Ship of Theseus talk between HexVision and White Vision:
“Neither is the true ship. Both are the true ship”.
So, if we take into consideration the fact that Vision doesn’t need the Mind Stone to be himself - they even tried to remove the stone themselves in Wakanda, - it means that our Vision very much has a future.
Mind you, the Vision that was created in The Age of Ultron and was killed by Thanos in The Infinity War is actually dead. That particular Vision isn’t coming back… but, that doesn’t mean Vision is dead.
The White Vision is basically what would have happened to Vision if Shuri succeeded in removing the Mind Stone in Wakanda, only it was done by the bad guys and Vision’s got his mind wiped out and reprogrammed.
So, to summarise - neither the HexVision nor the White Vision are the real Vision (who had died at the hands of Thanos), and yet both of them are original Vision - HexVision has True Vision’s personality and soul, while White Vision has True Vision’s original body (albeit without the Mind Stone, which is fine) and supressed memories.
White Vision is just the True Vision who went through the trauma of having his Mind Stone removed and being reassembled and experimented on.
His last words give me hope:
I am Vision ~ The White Vision
So long, darling ~ The HexVision
P.S. Also, about his disappearing shortly after regaining his memories (and not staying to make sure Wanda is alright), I feel there’re a few reasons for that:
He might have regained his memories and much of his original personality, but he is still mighty confused and needs some time to figure things out. Maybe he even felt ashamed becaused of what he very nearly done to Wanda. Knowing Vision and his love for his wife, this whole thing must be a torture to him on retrospect.
But mainly it’s that the White Vision shouldn’t have taken away attention from Wanda having to say goodbye to the HexVision, who is sort of the ghost of the True Vision, their final goodbye.
It’s a bittersweet ending, because we know that Original Vision and Wanda are never coming back, and yet there is still the New Vision with a lot of his personality (perhaps the best parts, as Bruce Banner said), whose relationship with Wanda is something I’m sure a lot of us are looking forward to see.
P.P.S. I really hope Marvel makes season two of WandaVision. This relationship needs to be explored.

When Wanda meets White Vision, the background music is very similar with when Wanda was destorying the mindstone in Infinity War??? This was the last time they saw each other and this OG Vision came back to Wanda with his memory wiped & intend to destroy her. Fuck that’s messed me up
