Sothe spoon turned into a spork.  (Not the “spoon with tines" sort; the “spoon at one end, fork at the other” sort.)  I’m not sure how functional it is (as I said, it’s whittled inexpertly from crummy softwood with subpar tools); but I didn’t have any catastrophic failures, so that’ssomething.

Photos will be forthcoming once I get my damn phone back.

  • I bought a secondhand reciprocating saw.  Unfortunately, whittling knives would cost more than the saw did.  Also, it’s almost the size of a chainsaw, and I suspect that I probably shouldn’t use it without a spotter.
  • That said: the plumwood is now in more convenient sizes, and the problem branch is off of the holly tree.
  • A friend of mine took up stand-up comedy.  (Yes, he’s good at it.  Everything was at his own expense.)

I’ve been attempting to whittle a seal, and now I have gotten to the final point of doing the face and, you know… I might just not. I might just be too scared of failing dramatically after all that work… to finish this…

Pumpkin tutu for the Kiddo’s summer camp Seasons of Joy Pageant cuz she’s my Pumpkin Princess. Yes, it was as adorable, if not more than what you imagine.

The band is crochet, the skirt is loop knotted strips of tule, and the button is hand wittled cedar from my yard. Hit me up if you feel the need for a custom tutu cuz why wouldn’t you need a custom tutu
