Wheel of the Year: Worksheets for Pagan Families

It’s done!!  The first group of worksheets are done and read to download!  They are FREE on teacherspayteachers.com.

Designed for pagan-parented families, these worksheets guide children through an exploration of the Wheel of the Year holidays. They introduce each holiday in broad terms, and encourage family discussions and further research by the child or by the parent and child. They are intended for children grades 2-4 to do with family support, and for children grades 5-7 to do more independently. The openness of these pages allows for families to express and explore their own beliefs as well as investigate the vast diversity of our pagan community.
Children working on these worksheets will need access to pagan adults and/or online or book resources when working on the research-based pages.

Please share so families can find this new resource!  Here are some example pages:

If you were teaching children about your pagan path, what topic(s) would be important for you to discuss?

(This question is open to parents and non-parents alike)

One of the fundamental things I was taught in early child development courses was how important it was to teach kids how to interact and appreciate nature. I would try to help facilitate that with my own kids, even if it isn’t the path they choose as adults.

I made a specific post abt this myself but: empaths/empathy, chances are if you’re teaching kids it’ll come up anyways and it can be tricky to address between the low empathy kids and the highly empathic kids. low empathy they may feel guilty or disconnected from their peers or craft. High empathy they may end up feeling like their pain is invalid or not their own and may disconnect from themselves. Either way it can come with many issues listed or not listed that can become harder to address the longer they sit undealt with.

This is a really good point! I hadn’t thought of that yet - at least not in regards to my project. Thank you for adding that !!!
