Working on an Akamas cushion cover, a piece inspired by long Summer days spent gazing at the glistening sea. . Please note that tomorrow (30th) the showroom/workshop will be open from 10am to 4:30pm and on the 31st from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Big thank you to those who have visited so far!
You are invited to view the new collection of handwoven cushion covers, depicting charming figurative scenes and planes of mellow gradients.
Respect for old knowledge and craftsmanship is at the core of these designs, which feature an amalgamation of traditional elements with modern minimal weaves.
At the workshop one can also find a variety of delightful handwoven items like bracelets, shawls, mobile phone cases, cushion covers, pouches and glass-mats.
All make unique beautiful Christmas presents!

A new design for a cushion cover. The female figure is adapted from traditional weaves but the rest of the delightful outing depiction was conjured up by myself ️.
Asproploumia (the exceedingly Greek motif with meanders) is one of the weaves covered in the traditional weaving workshop organised at the studio a few times a year.
