This thousand-year-old painting from Dunhuang uncannily depicts a 21st-century author trying to write, while a thousand demons stir up a ruckus and unhelpfully provide an endless stream of distractions.
This is the demon called OHSHITDONALDTRUMPISPRESIDENT. Permanently hunched over, its only action, endlessly repeated, is to blast tripartite flames from its ass. Note its location in the painting, just below the Buddha.
This is the demon called, STOPWHATYOU'REDOINGANDSAVETHEWORLD. Wielding its battle-axe, and barely aware that a human being is flattened to its face, it raises one hand in impassioned invective that will change no one’s mind… but shouldn’t you be doing the same thing? SHOULDN’T YOU?
Located at the center of the lower-right quadrant of the painting.
This is the demon TIMETOCOOKDINNER. It balances a platter of flames atop its ridged, barracuda-shaped head. Located center-left of the upper-left quadrant.
This is the demon called, YOU'RENEGLECTINGYOURHOUSEHOLDDUTIES. At the very top, just to the right.
This is the demon called, OMGIJUSTHADANAMAZINGIDEAFORACOMPLETELYDIFFERENTNOVEL! All over its skin, new demons are erupting. It has seven heads. It opens its mouth to speak, but a weasel-demon shoots out.
Located toward the top of the lower-right quadrant.
These are the demons SELF-DOUBT and UNCERTAINTY. Self-doubt has three snake-heads, each with a single eye; they argue with each other all the time, while the little demon with the bow-and-arrow balances on top of the three bobbing reptile heads. If only he could remain steady, he could aim his arrow and hit the target. If only…

This is the demon LOOKATMEIHAVEAFLAMETHROWER! You’re trying to finish your scene but wait, wouldn’t it be better if it had a demon with a flamethrower, and three live snakes writhing on its scalp? Dammit, why didn’t you think of that sooner?
Toward the bottom of the upper right quadrant.
These demons are the YOURFIRSTBOOKWASBETTER BRIGADE. A dragon, a tiger, a bull, and a panther come out one by one and laugh at you.

“Sweets are something I love to indulge in! Come visit my bakery where the treats aren’t just delicious but leads to healing of your choice!” Tikki Cho, owner of the Sweet Healing Bakery.
Meet my new OC, Tikki Cho. A White Rabbit Yaoguai specifically a special subspecies I’ll be introducing to you all in my other blog. Her pink and violet fur is actually a birth defect since her parents have white fur. Tikki does resemble Angoramon, a Digimon from Digimon Ghost Game. This unique appearance stems from her subspecies called Mimic, a type of race born with appearances and abilities of specific characters from media, urban legends or mythology.
She runs the Sweet Healing Bakery, a shop that serves pastries of all kinds but also offers various therapy based services. Tikki is a kind motherly woman who likes to help those in need, however she doesn’t let the more malevolent ones take advantage of her.
This rabbit yaoguai has incredible physical strength that a full power punch can decimate a mountain alongside powerful kicks capable of causing magnitude 8 earthquakes. Tikki’s ears can also be used to fly and create small wind blasts.
There is one side of Tikki however that no enemy wants to meet. She maybe a kind woman but behind that is a beast ready to rend all with her claws…
In a future Lego Monkie Kid fic/AU, Tikki will be serving the role of MK’s foster mother. Her life becoming intertwined with two monkeys but also different versions of them alongside other peculiar characters from other franchises. More info on Glitch.

Amanozako (天逆毎)

“Heaven Opposing Everything”
Amanozako like a Kijo (Female Oni, Ogress) or even amanojaku ⤴️
A rebellious yokai goddess that originated when her father the kami Susanoo let his own ferocious spirit and rage build up inside him (his aramitama) until he vomited her out. She is said to have a beastly face, a crooked long nose, pointed ears, sharp fangs and tusks so strong they can break even the strongest blades.
Amanozako is known to go against conformity and does the opposite of what is expected in society and social norms. She is said to be picky, and will go into an atrocious rage if she does not get what she wants, or if things do not go according to her way. When in this state, she can hurl even the most powerful gods distances of over one thousand villages in a single throw. Her wrath can’t be easily stopped.
Stories of Amanozako were being told long before history began being recorded. It is said that she is the ancestor deity of all yokai who share her personality and disobedience. Some of these yokai include most notably the tengu, as well as amanojaku.
While she’s said to be ancestor of many yokai her only child that has been named, thus far is Amanosaku. Which, due to her obstinate behavior, she brought into being all on her own. He is Amanozako’s spawn, and is said to be just as terrible and disobedient as she is. Apparently, Amanosaku drove all 8 million gods in heaven mad, and because of this, Amanosaku was made the ruler of every malevolent or troublesome kami.
In terms of her godly abilities, other than what has been mentioned, the legends and stories say that Amanozako is a trickster, of sorts. She likes to possess the hearts of humans and manipulate their emotions and personalities. She’s been also said to be able to fly for thousands of miles. It’s also assumed she posseses all the powers of a demon goddess of her stature, and powers like her descendants including transformation(変化, へんげ, “Henge”).
Amanozako holds titles like Hime (princess), tengu kami, metengu and possibly even of Queen due to what she is among yokai. As Susanoo’s daughter she has many relatives including her aunt the sun goddess Amaterasu, her uncle the moon god Tsukuyomi, her brother Yashimajinumi (八島士奴美神 – Mighty Master Ruling Eightfold Isles) who was the original ancestor of many earthly kami and later humans as well like his aunt Amaterasu. Another notable relative mention is Izanami, her grandmother who later on went to rule Yomi and like her granddaughter, she was also one of the progenitors of Yōkai, birthing demon gods like Raijin and Fujin, thus making them also uncles to Amanozako.
While normally looking similar to a tengu, she’s also been depicted like an ogress in various media.
