A Nezha Reborn version of my Fast Shadows AU! It’s a bit old but Sonic Prime gave me the motivation to dig through my folder and post this. There are some differences here compared to my Lego Monkie Kid version. I’ll be going over on appearance and the new character than actual AU details. That’s for the other blog, @talesofsonicasura.
Considering where Nezha Reborn takes place, Donghai City, a time where the Heavens fell apart… It only makes sense that their designs would have a more punk feel. Sonic wearing violet mascara, an ear piercing and most interesting black fur tattoos that resemble ears. He wears sandals for harsher kicks as his claws down there are quite sharp. His weapon being a peculiar bronze staff with mysterious properties.
This Macaque is MUCH different than his Lego Monkie Kid counterpart. His hair much longer and he indulged in various dyes. He’s also on the chunky, first attempt at a dad bod, plus male monkeys tend to gain weight when they have babies of their own. His six ears aren’t colorful unless their magic is being used. Macaque also wields two short spears that clip together to form a dual bladed spear.
Finally our third character in the picture, Spiny. This is a Salamander who disguised himself as a Pygmy Spiny Tailed Skink, one Macaque got for Sonic. (He didn’t find out until he came back home to his little hedgehog son nestled comfortably against the large Salamander.) Spiny serves as Sonic’s familiar and adapts based on the love n care from the two.
The six eared frills alongside the violet colors from Macaque with the rigged protective shell and blue colors from Sonic. Spiny’s hind legs can be tucked inside his protective shell as a way to control his agility. These limbs are quite powerful as it doubles the Salamander’s speed and jumping power.

For any curious folk, the two new Legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon are based on a specie of lizards called the Anolis/Anole.
They can be instantly recognized by the dewlap on their necks which both new legendaries have. BTW, those little throat sacks are used to attract/court potential mates.
Just a random thought of mine. The Six Eared Macaque is known for his superior hearing, even said in myths that he can hear the past, present, and future. So my thought is, would something like the Calm Calm Fruit from One Piece put him at a disadvantage?
For those who don’t know One Piece, Devil Fruits grant a person unique powers at the price of being unable to swim. The Calm Calm Fruit turns the eater into a living silencer, removing sound from objects to even their surroundings. It’s last user was Donquixote ‘Corazon’ Rosinante, an assassin with insane durability and weapon handling before he died. When a Devil Fruit user dies, their fruit is reborn somewhere.
Back to the topic at hand… Macaque fighting an enemy he can’t see is not much of a hassle due to his hearing, but what about someone he cannot hear? His opponent, their weapons and environment completely void of any noise.

In theory if the CC (calm-calm) user can stay out of Liu Er Mihou’s line of sight, they MIGHT be able to get a strike in if they’re quick. Problem is, it took both SWK and The Budda to subdue/kill him, so once he does track on to you, unless you’re the Victorious Fighting Buddha, you’re SCREWED.
And that’s assuming that he doesn’t track you immediately on account of that whole Hearing The Future thing. That’s kinda hard to get around.
It’s a fun thought exercise.

Meet my new OC, Tikki Cho. A White Rabbit Yaoguai specifically a special subspecies I’ll be introducing to you all in my other blog. Her pink and violet fur is actually a birth defect since her parents have white fur. Tikki does resemble Angoramon, a Digimon from Digimon Ghost Game. This unique appearance stems from her subspecies called Mimic, a type of race born with appearances and abilities of specific characters from media, urban legends or mythology.
She runs the Sweet Healing Bakery, a shop that serves pastries of all kinds but also offers various therapy based services. Tikki is a kind motherly woman who likes to help those in need, however she doesn’t let the more malevolent ones take advantage of her.
This rabbit yaoguai has incredible physical strength that a full power punch can decimate a mountain alongside powerful kicks capable of causing magnitude 8 earthquakes. Tikki’s ears can also be used to fly and create small wind blasts.
There is one side of Tikki however that no enemy wants to meet. She maybe a kind woman but behind that is a beast ready to rend all with her claws…
In a future Lego Monkie Kid fic/AU, Tikki will be serving the role of MK’s foster mother. Her life becoming intertwined with two monkeys but also different versions of them alongside other peculiar characters from other franchises. More info on Glitch.

The last drawing for Mermay and this time with a more underappreciated Sun Wukong: Monkey King Reborn. I honestly had no idea on who would take the slot but this iteration manage to sneak himself.
He is a Leviathan class Mer for the Saltwater Crocodile species. This Sun Wukong measures around 56 ft in length and just like his other iterations is a natural born Mermonkey. Crocodiles are quite chunky fellows but they are quite dangerous.
These reptiles can not only jump but also climb. MKR is the same just much faster and agile. His face alongside the upper half of his body can become more crocodile like especially when angered. It’s best to tread carefully cause he will go Lake Placid on someone.
Don’t know what’s a worse fate: getting your skull bashed in by a 8000 kilogram cudgel or torn to shreds by a massive crocodile Mermonkey.

I felt like writing a poem for her story. Trying to get rid of the rust on my skills. This is Rosa, a former human now an being of chaos called Rose Elysium. Her design having some inspiration from a particular boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. She’s loosely related to said franchise however, just her Emissary form.
You’ll be seeing her in some future stories very soon. Rosa is a wanderer who can travel between dimensions and time. Where she’ll appear will be your guess. And neither the people that this Emissary could charm.

Another Mermay piece (and like the last one was used to tease a friend. They loved it.) Nezha Reborn Sun Wukong and his little minions being Green Moray Eel Mermonkeys.
He’s a natural born Leviathan class around 23 ft long, the normal size of these Mers being 10 ft. Green Moray Eel Mers tend to have heterochromia and on rarer occasions blade like fins on their arms.
They tend to hide or sleep in places normally tight for other creatures. Green Moray Eel Mers can fit in spaces that would normally be too big for someone their size. This Sun Wukong being no exception. Often using this ability during the Journey West or in his factory.

I specifically made this to tease the hell out of a friend on my Discord that I’ll share here. (It worked btw) They’re a big Macaque fan so this little piece felt perfect especially since it’s Mermay.
My third Mermay piece, Axolotl Mermonkey Macaque alongside his little larvae. Baby axolotls are called larvae and they sorta like tadpoles growing their limbs when older. Newborn Axolotl Mers don’t get their unique characteristics until they are children such as eye, hide and skin color or unique ears than just their limbs.
He’s also a Leviathan class, around 24 ft 6 in and 9 cm. A wandering healer that heals others with the cost of a prized possession. Macaque is searching for a mate as well, one that he can cherish but also cherish him and his children. Once he does find one, then this mermonkey will happily settle down. However, he want hesitate to tear apart anything stupid enough to get too close to what’s his.
Another Mer? Yep. I might do two or three more of these. It really just depends. For now, this an Atlantic Wolffish Mer version of Hank J. Wimbleton from Madness Combat. Specifically his MAG form which appears in episode Expurgation.
For his design, I wanted to make sure how he progressed throughout the series to show. The MAG process already mutating his new Atlantic Wolffish genes into a more unstable blend, such as the extra spikes, odd coloration and green undead blade fins. If you are wondering, unlike my Whale Shark Sun Wukong, Hank was forcefully transformed into this.
He is a Leviathan type ranging around 18 ft in size. Hank can effectively swim like any Mer despite the damage done to his tail, fins and unequal balance. Stubbornness to master this new form, turning it into a strength than a weakness.

I decided to revamp my old design for my ARMS OC Fizzy Pop. It’s been awhile since I last drawn her and I felt unsatisfied with the old design. So not I freshen up her alongside changing a few things.
Also displaying her unique abilities such as the ring portals and stretching out like a jack-in-the-box. Even ramped her Laugh Traps gear too!

2021, despite being a very horrible year for a lot of people, had a some good things for me. It was the year that I came across four new games/series: Balan Wonderworld, Lego Monkie Kid(and anything JTTW related), Mad Rat Dead and Madness Combat.
These have definitely been a big positive for me, especially during the dark moments I had last year. Trust me when I say you guys weren’t the only one having issues in 2021, whether it be mental, physical or life being a pain in the ass in some way.
So playing Balan Wonderworld, watch a playthrough of Mad Rat Dead or watching Lego Monkie Kid and Madness Combat made me feel a lot better but also introduced me to a lot of interesting people on Discord alongside Chinese culture.

More ideas for the JTTW Sonic Storybook game! Please know that I don’t have the skill, equipment, team, resources, nor ingenuity like a lot of brilliant minds in the world, especially folks capable of making fan games. If anyone does want to try making a fan game of this or hell even Sega sees this and think of using it, then go ahead!
People can do incredible things when they put their mind, dedication and heart into it.
Anywho, back to the ideas! I did come up with a name for the game alongside some other stuff. Sonic Storybook games usual have their revolve around a key item or character. Such as the Secret Rings in Sonic and the Secret Rings or the Black Knight in Sonic and the Black Knight. So…
Sonic and the Forbidden Scripture
The Forbidden Scripture is an item of great power and the cause for the magical mayhem going on in Journey To The West storybook. It was sealed away in fear of shredding or even merging the dimensional boundaries of both realities. However someone managed to break the seal unleashing all sorts of chaos!
The seal used on the Forbidden Scripture broke into 8 pieces that Sonic and the JTTW must collect in order to stop this outta control magic.
Some bosses in the main game will have a piece of the seal or will block your way to the next piece and important areas. Be warned that not all members of the group can fight every opponent easily. There are bosses that certain party members are effective or ineffective against. Everyone must work together and you need to plan things out if you don’t want to lose.
Bosses in the Mind Palace will be enemies from Sonic’s past. These bosses guard optional transformations our blue blur can use for Alter Incarnation. The Wisp Transformations merge into a brand form called Spectrum Sonic! This new form can switch into different color variants capable of using all sorts of attacks.
Another optional transformation is Dark Sonic! By balancing negative energy with his heroic heart, this form of Sonic can use powerful dark element attacks to devastate opponents.
The last new optional transformation is Burning Sonic, a form created if Sonic used the powers of the Sol Emeralds. Incredible fire manipulation capable of burning his enemies into a crisp and leave trails of hot flame.
Now here are the Mind Palace bosses and the Transformations they guard! I’ll warn you that some of these bosses will have their difficultly revved up! Those that do will have a hedgehog emoji beside it
The penultimate boss of Sonic Rush. This metal menace threatens to destroy you on the falling space station with harsh slams, lasers and even an instakill attack so stay on your toes!
Defeating Egg King grants the Super Sonic transformation! This form comes with flight, invulnerability and deflects attacks in the price of rings! Make sure you have a bunch or you might power down at the worst time!
The possessed guardian of Chun-nan’s Chaos Temple and the Werehog’s first boss encounter! This bird’s flames will prevent you from attacking up close so dose it with water! Be careful as Dark Gaia Phoenix will try to stop you with a barrage of flaming feathers and burning shockwaves.
Defeat Dark Gaia Phoenix to acquire the Werehog transformation! This form not only grants incredible power and durability but also stretchy limbs to handle faraway foes. Despite losing your superspeed, now Sonic can climb without help from Sun Wukong. Be wary as heavenly attacks will power you down!
The final boss of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and it’s alternative version, Sonic and Knuckles 3. It guards the Hyper Sonic transformation and has much more attacks than its original counterpart. Be wary of shockwave slams, powerful fists destroying the stage and grapples that can one shot characters who aren’t durable on the level of Sun Wukong.
Beating Big Arms grants the Hyper Sonic transformation, a form much faster and stronger than Super Sonic. Don’t get too cocky as Hyper Sonic consumes rings just like Super and crushing hazards will one shot you. Unlike Super Sonic, a prompt will emerge that can save you from being crushed if done correctly.
The true final boss of DS Sonic Colors and guard for the Spectrum Sonic transformation. This corrupted Mother Wisp prefers to keep her distance and attack with nasty projectiles like Nega Wisps, lasers or meteors so you have to bring the fight to her! Be careful as she’ll try to smack Sonic away from her weak spots.
Beating her unlocks Spectrum Sonic! This form is quite powerful but don’t overuse it. Spectrum Sonic has a special gauge that drains when using a color power and once the gauge is empty, he’ll power down. You can however spend the gauge for a powerful Final Color Blaster to deal devastating damage so choose wisely when to unleash it.
The final boss of Sonic and the Secret Rings but also guard for the Darkspine transformation. This evil djinn is quite dangerous from afar with magical slashes and energy blasts. You have to get in close but be careful as he’ll try to counter your attacks with his blade! Look for an opening and strike before it closes!
Beating him unlocks Darkspine Sonic. This incomplete form created by the Rings of Hatred, Sadness and Rage give Sonic enormous power but also a more vengeful view. His lack of durability is made up with powerful soul attacks alongside the ability to stop time or increase his speed expontially. Countering opponents with Darkspine allows for a devastating revenge attack that’s capable of blasting off ¼th of a boss’s health bar if timed right.
The main antagonist of Sonic and the Black Knight but also guardian of the Excalibur Sonic transformation. This corrupted visage of King Arthur is more real and dangerous than his in-game counterpart. He’ll take the fight STRAIGHT to you, attempting to run Sonic through with his blade.
Be on the lookout though cause if you don’t parry his charge, then he’ll attack with energy spears and barrel at you much faster for a second attempt! Knock him off his horse so you can take him down in a true sword fight! Be wary as his sword swings do much more damage without his noble steed.
Beating him earns you Excalibur Sonic! This hedgehog can unleash sword beams with a more swing of Excalibur that can pierce through even shields! Fill up his Soul Charge gauge to let loose a powerful attack that can cause massive damage over a wide range. Don’t get cocky as using the Soul Charge will revert you back to normal and taking damage will drop it faster.
The incomplete evil and boss of the infamous Sonic 06. This lava beast is much stronger than it’s other counterpart and guards the Dark Sonic transformation. It’ll tend to stay out of range so you must goad it to charging you by deflecting its energy blasts or firing boulders littered around the battlefield.
Once it charges at you, make sure to strike the weak point or risk losing a good chunk of your health and rings! Be on guard as each strike will make Iblis cause lava waves that swallow what small amount of walking room you have. Touching the lava in the arena is an instant game over.
Beating Iblis grants Sonic the Dark Sonic transformation. This new form is much more destructive than his Super counterpart. His attacks have a vampiric effect, healing Sonic as he blasts opponents with darkness.
This form also comes with some stealth options by sinking into shadows to avoid getting spotted or devastating sneak attacks. Be careful as heavenly attacks will power you down!
The true final boss of Sonic Rush Adventure and guardian of the Burning Sonic transformation. You will have to pursue this mechanical mage on the back of Bai Long Ma if you don’t have a flying transformation. Egg Wizard will blast you with fiery dragons, energy blasts and even missiles to keep our heroes from getting close.
Some of these projectiles can be deflected so fire those back! Deal enough damage and you can stun Egg Wizard, make sure you use this chance to deliver a devastating blow!
Beating Egg Wizard unlocks Burning Sonic. This pyro kinetic hedgehog grows stronger with each successful attack! His flames can burn through anything, even opponents’ shields! In fact, Burning Sonic has a chance of inflicting immobilized status to guard enemies! Be careful as you will burn out if hit by water or a critical attack!
Special Dialogue- Tripitaka/Tang Sanzang & Bai Long Ma/White Dragon Horse

You just made him look more like a Lion Tailed Macaque with this design. He’s a monkey pretending to be a lion at this point.

Okay. I’ve never thought of an anime/manga that stooped so far from my hopes and expectations to borderline make me uncomfortable: My Hero Academia.
Something that displays abusers getting away practically scott free with their actions and the victims being punished cruelly without any justice. Putting this under read more cause despite it being simplified, I’m talking about abuse, sexual harassment and suicide baiting. Alongside some spoilers.
Katsuki Bakugo, physically and mentally abused his friend Izuku Midoriya just because he didn’t have a quirk. EVEN SUICIDE BAITED HIM WITH A FUCKING SMILE ON HIS FACE.
“If you want a quirk so bad, why don’t you take a swan dive off the roof and pray for one in your next life!”
Yet he manages to get off scot free. Got into UA and the Hero Course, treats people like shit but still gets friends. Actively tried to kill Izuku during a training exercise and got away with it. This fucker needs to be thrown in an insane asylum.
Endeavor, forcibly married a woman for her quirk and (practically raped her) kept having kids so that he can have one with both their quirks. Physically and mentally abused his children alongside their mother to the point they harmed or tried to kill the other. Actively tries to kill his own son who managed to escape but badly mutilated. Becomes Number 1 Hero as his unforgivable actions are never reprimanded. This bastard should be locked up permanently or on death row. Dabi or Touya Todoroki is most likely dead now from the latest issue.
Mineta Minoru, sexually harrasses the female student body especially Momo. Actively peeks on the girls’ bathing multiple times. Only a slap and practical finger wagging. This kid should had a background check cause he probably has done more than just this and needs to expelled but also locked up.
Can’t even forget the discrimination against people without quirks like Izuku. It’s like the writer only made Izuku quirkless just to give him a quirk and not explore how he lives or tries to fight against this bias by becoming a Quirkless hero. Oddly specific that 20% of the population is Quirkless cause that’s doubled the number of people with disabilities in the world.
This isn’t painting a good image for me or anyone else that noticed this fact too. Hell, I bet the only reason Melissa was made is because he remembers establishing the Quirkless Population. Or Aoyama and possibly Shigaraki was in the same exact situation as Izuku, Quirkless but also countlessly bullied and abused by their current society.
Don’t get me started on the discrimination to those with weak quirks, mutation quirks and ‘villainous’ quirks. Toga being abused to the point of starvation and insanity because her quirk required blood. Something that probably kept her sane too. Shinso being relentlessly bullied for his Brainwash quirk.
Or how I noticed most criminals have weak quirks, mutation quirks and 'villainous’ quirks. USJ episode along has all stereotypes right there, won’t be surprised if some of them were quirkless.
This series is incredibly messed up. Heinous actions being rewarded without any consequences. Also hints of ableism scattered about. Kohei Hirokoshi, you’re giving me very bad vibes as you continue this manga. I don’t know what you are trying to portray but it’s very mixed or not positive.
Anyone else think that none of the Hisuian Pokemon variants aren’t in extinct but went into hiding or are roaming somewhere?
We’ve seen this multiple times throughout both Pokemon games and even the movies.
Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, the Ancient Tree had various Fossil Pokemon living there.
Pokemon Sword/Shield: In the Crowned Tundra DLC, there are now Fossil Pokemon dwelling about thanks to meddling and release of different Fossil Pokemon.
I won’t be surprised that some distance themselves from humans or are running around somewhere due to revival via fossils and DNA. Pokemon like Mewtwo, Ditto, Galar Fossil Pokemon and Genesect give enough proof of such things happening.
We can’t forget about Pokemon that evolve use particular moves or areas like Wyrdeer, and the Hisuian Starter evolutions. Someone could be training in Mt. Cornet or with certain moves only to accidentally evolve their Pokemon into one of these Hisuian Pokemon.
As for why the Hisuian Pokemon would go into hiding, remember that their trust with humans back then were quite fragile. There have been multiple times that people had betrayed the trust of Pokemon forcing them to disappear or go into hiding.
Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Necrozma and Hisuian Zorua line are perfect representations of that. They were betrayed or lost faith in people so they left.
