I know everyone is focused on the major ships of this but I’d like to take a brief break and take a look at something that I am fairly certain will pan out within season 3 of Girl Meets World.
So, first there was Lucas Friar, clearly the love interest of the show.
Then there was Josh Mathews, the younger brother.
And then the late bloomer in Farkle Minkus, the most adorable and farkliest Farkle there is.
And even Zay Babineaux came onto the scene and stole hearts.
And Charlie Gardner was also there.
But I think that we are constantly overlooking someone who should be included in this line up. I think that he will really start to come into his own in season 3 and I think that everyone will start seeing him in a very different light. He is really the unsung hero of Girl Meets World and I believe he’s going to a huge part of this show overall.
In their senior year, Maya, Lucas, Zay, and Smackle decided to spend their spring break on a Couples’ Retreat in Disney. Our favourite liars have just seen their room, yikes! Will they second guess their decision? Who knows! Will they enjoy their first day in Disney? I sure hope so!
It’s bedtime for our lovely liars! How’s that going to play out? Who knows! All I know is that they’d better be prepared to travel the world when they wake up!
Chapter 4: You Told Me I Was Pretty When I Looked Like a Mess
Our favourite liars are waking up after the most awkward night of their lives. How will they act? Will they even acknowledge it? I have no idea, but it looks like we’ll be finding that, along with a secret of Riley’s, out in their own little fantasyland.
Our liars have gone to bed after an intense day, hope you get some rest kids! And let’s not forget that there’s a certain video (two videos, now) of them going viral! At least our new stars are going to Hollywood today!
When we left off, our lovely seniors were still in Hollywood Studios, watching fireworks. When we pick up, it is morning and our liars are preparing for a whole new world. What happened in between? I don’t know, neither does Riley. Does Farkle?

So Girl Meets Bear, I’m a little perplexed by some things and figured I’d throw my thoughts and queries out to the tumblr fam.
Joshaya The Long Game is still on, Maya and Josh are clearly in love with each other. Do yourself a favor and look up all the gifs of them staring at each other when the other isn’t looking. Magical.
Having watched the episode twice now, it’s clear Zay is looking out for Maya so she’s not a third wheel to Rucas. Maya is focused on Josh, but Zay doesn’t want her to feel left out while she waits on both Josh and Riley. Zay is the ultimate BROTP (I like that saying).
I also thought it was interesting how Josh steals the room every time he shows up. Everyone in the apartment basically turned the spotlight over to him while he vented, he commanded the room. Being the oldest, and usually surrounded by younger people, I thought that was an interesting dynamic and it stood out. He was flustered by college but was able to get encouragement from the family around him. I liked that.
Farkle I’m very perplexed here. Is he the metaphorical bear that Riley lost? I thought he was happy with Smackle, but he seems distressed now that Riley and Lucas are paired up. He looked miserable the entire episode, even after talking with Queen Topanga (great callback to her first episode). Is Farkle pining for Riley? If so, why not make a play? Lucas and Riley have had the past few episodes to take off, and I’d argue that Joshaya had more chemistry and development in this episode, than the last few episodes combined of Rucas. That’s not a slight at Riley and Lucas mind you, they just don’t seem like a couple.
I find myself comparing this episode to the first Community bottle episode, where the study group dives into a bunch of key issues facing the group, and works through them. I feel like this episode brought up a number of issues, and I’m curious how they will pay off.
