The BBC has today announced Ncuti Gatwa is the new Doctor set to take charge of the TARDIS.
Star of stage and screen, Ncuti is best known for his critically acclaimed performance in Sex Education as the iconic Eric Effiong, for which he was awarded Best Actor Award at the Scottish BAFTA’s in 2020 as well as numerous nominations including Best Male Performance in a comedy programme at this year’s BAFTA’s.
Speaking of his new role, Ncuti said: “There aren’t quite the words to describe how I’m feeling. A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared. This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care. I will endeavour my upmost to do the same. Russell T Davies is almost as iconic as the Doctor himself and being able to work with him is a dream come true. His writing is dynamic, exciting, incredibly intelligent and fizzing with danger. An actor’s metaphorical playground. The entire team have been so welcoming and truly give their hearts to the show. And so as much as it’s daunting, I’m aware I’m joining a really supportive family. Unlike the Doctor, I may only have one heart but I am giving it all to this show.”
Russell T Davies, Showrunner adds: “The future is here and it’s Ncuti! Sometimes talent walks through the door and it’s so bright and bold and brilliant, I just stand back in awe and thank my lucky stars. Ncuti dazzled us, seized hold of the Doctor and owned those TARDIS keys in seconds. It’s an honour to work with him, and a hoot, I can’t wait to get started. I’m sure you’re dying to know more, but we’re rationing ourselves for now, with the wonderful Jodie’s epic finale yet to come. But I promise you, 2023 will be spectacular!”

“We’re just doing what we have always done. I mean, when did we ever do anything to get acknowledgement from anyone? It’s not like people acknowledged us then, either. We make something meaningful and share it with people, whether it be through music or concerts. That’s the reason why we started doing this. We wish to keep our energy focused on that reason. I also personally don’t check people’s reactions online as much as I used to before. So… yeah. I think I’ll continue to not talk about any of those kinds of things in the future. I want to use that time to focus on personal development and work on becoming a better person. That’s all. Anyway, I hope you keep that in mind. We’re going to work even harder.
They say there’s only a hair’s difference between a “fan” and an “anti”. Sometimes antis, or haters, know more information than fans do, *laughs* since hating something also takes a great deal of energy. So, well. If we just keep working and do our thing, they might become our fans, who knows. If that happens, great, and if not, it’s whatever. I talked about this with the members too. In terms of what’s to come from now on, I’ve been thinking—actually, these days, what I’ve been thinking about continuously is that we should put ourselves back to the starting point of our journey. And get more actively involved in our album-making process & speak our voices. I’m almost 30 now. I’ve been having a lot of thoughts on my mind about how to carry on forward. I suppose I should probably talk more about this and that, since I might be the sole person thinking this way. I’m going to keep thinking about the things I can do and keep doing more… *sighs* I’ll be working hard.”
Okay, I know Marvel is fictional and all but what Bucky Barnes has gone through physicallyhurts my heart on another level and I really want him to be happy for once

I know everyone is focused on the major ships of this but I’d like to take a brief break and take a look at something that I am fairly certain will pan out within season 3 of Girl Meets World.
So, first there was Lucas Friar, clearly the love interest of the show.
Then there was Josh Mathews, the younger brother.
And then the late bloomer in Farkle Minkus, the most adorable and farkliest Farkle there is.
And even Zay Babineaux came onto the scene and stole hearts.
And Charlie Gardner was also there.
But I think that we are constantly overlooking someone who should be included in this line up. I think that he will really start to come into his own in season 3 and I think that everyone will start seeing him in a very different light. He is really the unsung hero of Girl Meets World and I believe he’s going to a huge part of this show overall.
