Back in 2018, over on my Zerhys blog I made the decision to draw some really dumb fanart based on this post and then didn’t get around to it until earlier this year and then I got to the point where I needed to add the speech bubbles, got distracted by some other art, and forgot all about it for another few months and anyway here it is (featuring parts of my Zer0 h/c)
Anyway this is the stupidest thing I’ve drawn in a long time but also this is how I imagine dating Zer0 is.

So like, you know that action movie “we both just survived this big explosion”/Character A pushes character B out of the way of falling rubble/“You looked dead for a second there and I got real scared but you’re fine” smooch scene? Yeah…

Sometimes I see a goofy pose on a pulp novel cover that sets off my urge to steal it for the purpose of drawing some incredibly dumb Zerhys. (using Zer0′s bl2 design because tbh I just like it better)
This one is referenced from George Erickson’s cover to the 1960s novel “Like Wild” which is undoubtedly complete trash but dang it’s a fun stupid illustration.
Anyways I get why people see Zer0 as kind of distant in their affection but tbh they sure seem to do a lot of over-the-top stuff for the sake of getting attention and also they’re a massive dork.
I picture them as being like that kind of asshole cat that goes from doing their own thing to NEEDING attention right now this goddamn instant, whatever you’re trying to do be damned (Zer0′s kind of extra obnoxious about it because they think it’s funny)
I might paint this later. We’ll see.

Inktober Day 1: Ring
(As always I’m gonna be a few days behind posting these.)
A bit of experimenting, I really like Promethea. If you go into photo mode and play with the time option you find that the sun stays in the same place in the sky and the rapid day-night cycle is decided by the moonlets in Promethea’s ring eclipsing the sun, perhaps it rotates weirdly slowly, or not at all? Eridian nonsense can justify anything tbh.)

Multiple people have drawn Rhys with a Zer0 dakimakura but let’s be real,the character who Naruto runs into bandit infested warehouses and reference Yu-Gi-Oh would be the one who owns a body pillow.
This is dumb don’t judge me for drawing this.

WIP
Recently it’s been really cold when I wake up and I keep thinking about how nice cuddles are. I mean, between Zer0′s armor and Rhys’s arm this probably isn’t actually all that comfortable (at least not for Rhys, mostly) but I can pretend for the sake of…warm…
(Why do I bother making semi-neat linework when I’m going to paint over it?)
