I’ve read “Smoke and shadow” and it’s really cool! It’s mostly about Zuko and his family and (Mai and her family). Firstly: I just can’t stand Zuko being sweet. And he is very sweet here. Mostly with his little sister and it’s double sweet! Honey-sweet! And we have Zuko-Mai relationship development. (SPOILERS!) Mai has a new boyfriend, well, at first, she just pretends to be attracted to him and uses him, but then… She really falls in love, but… In the end, they split up and there is an allusion to her coming back to Zuko. And I am very glad about that. And the plot is also very good: there is a pinch of politics, a pinch of drama and as always good fights. And Azula with her strange ideas about how to be the Fire Lord the right way. So, there is only one Avatar comics book left.

(mai wouldve totally insisted on going with him imo. tears would be shed because theyre leaving the fire nation and everything they know behind. even if the fn isnt perfect, its still their home and where they grew up. treason isnt easy!!)
