Something I find very inspiring about Rammstein is that they seem to just get better and better with age?
I’m not so much talking about their music, as I Don’t Understand How Music Works. I just know what I like.
But they haven’t ‘sold out’. Regardless of what anyone else thinks, it’s clear from how they talk about music that they are doing exactly what they want to do. In terms of music, touring, everything. And the bits we get from their personal life seem, in general, so positive.
While I obviously don’t know for sure, I get a feeling that most of them would probably agree that they’re in one of the happiest stages of their lives. They’re still friends, and their disgusting level of affection for one another seems to increase by the day. They’ve got the freedom of work/life balance with their success. Many of them have settled down into stable relationships and raised kids. They’ve grown out of personal issues.
I dunno, I guess, when I look at Richard resting a hand on Flake’s leg to kneel to a crowd despite his bad back, it seems like these are some happy old guys. That all that age and experience has paid off. Makes one feel they have more time left to figure stuff out.
i’m just glad they stuck it out in their six-man marriage for this long exciting that there seems to be a documentary in the making…maybe that’s why they don’t do many interviews anymore..
