WISH LESS galleryでは、アーティストの小町渉とロブ・キドニーの二人展「DISCHARGE／ディスチャージ」を開催いたします。
DISCHARGEとは、解放・放出・発散といった意味を持ち、二人のアーティストが思いついた文字やイメージを迷う事なくキャンバスへぶつけることで、喜び、怒り、とまどいなどの様々な感情から解放され、描くという行為を純粋に楽しむ試みです。また今回は即興性という目的から、主にマーカーペンのみを使って作品を完成させるなど、絵画の新たな可能性も探ります。

PROFILE
@watarukomachistudio
東京都出身。父が作曲家にて幼少期より音楽に溢れた環境の中育ち音楽に多大なる影響を受ける。
バンド活動を経て独学にてアーティストとなり、作品が米国俳優.監督デニス ホッパーのコレクションとなる。以降国内外に於いて多くの企業とのコラボレーションそしてアートワークを行う。
(クリストフ・ルメール、ベック、ヒステリックグラマー、ラコステ、ユニクロ、アルフレッドダンヒル、コーチ、松屋銀座、ワンオクロック、スキャンダル等)
現在国内外にて精力的に活動中。

@rob_kidney
英国出身のアーティスト／イラストレーター。ブライトン大学イラストレーション科卒業。現在は東京を拠点に活動。
鮮やかな色と力強い手描きのラインを駆使したユニークなキャラクターアートを得意とし、音楽、ファッション、インテリア雑貨など様々な分野にイラストを提供。
2012年より、東京・田端にあるギャラリーWISH LESSのオーナーとして、国内外の作家の展覧会キュレーションも行う。

WISH LESS gallery is delighted to announce the exhibition “DISCHARGE” by the Japanese artist Wataru Komachi and the British artist Rob Kidney.
DISCHARGE has many definitions as a word, this exhibition focuses on the meanings of liberation, release, and divergence.
The work produced by the two artists was executed without hesitation, during which various emotions were released such as joy, anger, and confusion. It is an attempt to enjoy the act of creation in its purest form.
In addition, for the purpose of encouraging improvisation, they have also explored new possibilities in painting, such as producing the work with limited tools, focusing mainly on permanent marker pens and ink.

In this exhibition, LEE will present painting works inspired by the popular NFT boom. Also there will be a performance element, such as setting up a DVD rental corner at the gallery . カードを発行してから展覧会やイベントなどでリーさんに会うと、ポイントが貯まって、５ポイントでなんと、違うカードがもう一枚発行されます。カードを育てて、カードを増やすシステムが、この「リーカード」！

WISH LESS gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of drawing works created with POSCA marker pens by realist painter Ken Hamaguchi titled “POSCA, with my opaque love”.
The work is composed of Hamaguchi’s maniacal selection of people, logos, characters and backgrounds drawn on waste paper and flyers with POSCA marker pens. The drawings are then selected and cut and pasted intuitively to create the finished piece of work.
Please enjoy this pop art composed of unique combinations and juxtapositions to your heart’s content.
Also included in the exhibition will be a limited number of pieces in collaboration with British artist Rob Kidney.

The work produced by the two artists was executed without hesitation, during which various emotions were released such as joy, anger, and confusion. It is an attempt to enjoy the act of creation in its purest form.
In addition, for the purpose of encouraging improvisation, they have also explored new possibilities in painting, such as producing the work with limited tools, focusing mainly on permanent marker pens and ink.

DISCHARGEとは、解放・放出・発散といった意味を持ち、二人のアーティストが思いついた文字やイメージを迷う事なくキャンバスへぶつけることで、喜び、怒り、とまどいなどの様々な感情から解放され、描くという行為を純粋に楽しむ試みです。また今回は即興性という目的から、主にマーカーペンのみを使って作品を完成させるなど、絵画の新たな可能性も探ります。

WISH LESS gallery is delighted to announce the exhibition “DISCHARGE” by the Japanese artist Wataru Komachi and the British artist Rob Kidney.
DISCHARGE has many definitions as a word, this exhibition focuses on the meanings of liberation, release, and divergence.
The work produced by the two artists was executed without hesitation, during which various emotions were released such as joy, anger, and confusion. It is an attempt to enjoy the act of creation in its purest form.
In addition, for the purpose of encouraging improvisation, they have also explored new possibilities in painting, such as producing the work with limited tools, focusing mainly on permanent marker pens and ink.

WISH LESS galleryでは、社会の事象に対して挑戦的かつ笑いをもって問題提起するアーティスト・UN©!!の個展「SHITSTORM」を開催いたします。都内では2年ぶり2度目の開催となり、コロナ禍で都心を離れて暮らすなかで制作された新作に加え、過去作品を少しアーカイブする構成となっております。

「カッティングステッカー」「サンプリング」「社会的タブー」「現代アート」「ストリート」などのキーワードを起点に、自らの活動に対する皆さまの疑問にお答えする内容です。ちなみにタイトルの『SHITSTORM』は「大炎上」という意味も含みますが、実際には炎上とは無縁のまま現在まで活動してきた作家UN©!!の、嵐のような頭の中を覗いてみてください。
（正直その辺のパロディと一緒くたにされるのはもうウンザリなので、是非会場で作品をご覧になってください！）

WISH LESS gallery is delighted to announce the solo exhibition ‘SHITSTORM’ by UN©!!, an artist who raises topical and social issues with an aggressive sense of humour.
In addition to the new works produced while living away from the city center due to the pandemic, there will be chance to see some special pieces from his archive.

His keywords for this show are ‘cutting stickers, sampling, social taboo, contemporary art, and street,’ this content will answer people’s questions and create discussion about his creative output.

The title “SHITSTORM” refers to the mental storm inside the mind of the artist UN©!! who up until now has not been involved in a shitstorm in the real world.
(To be honest I’m tired of being branded just a parody artist…So please come to the gallery and look at the work in the flesh!)

東京都出身。父が作曲家にて幼少期より音楽に溢れた環境の中育ち音楽に多大なる影響を受ける。
バンド活動を経て独学にてアーティストとなり、作品が米国俳優.監督デニス ホッパーのコレクションとなる。以降国内外に於いて多くの企業とのコラボレーションそしてアートワークを行う。
(クリストフ・ルメール、ベック、ヒステリックグラマー、ラコステ、ユニクロ、アルフレッドダンヒル、コーチ、松屋銀座、ワンオクロック、スキャンダル等)
現在国内外にて精力的に活動中。

@rob_kidney
英国出身のアーティスト／イラストレーター。ブライトン大学イラストレーション科卒業。現在は東京を拠点に活動。
鮮やかな色と力強い手描きのラインを駆使したユニークなキャラクターアートを得意とし、音楽、ファッション、インテリア雑貨など様々な分野にイラストを提供。
2012年より、東京・田端にあるギャラリーWISH LESSのオーナーとして、国内外の作家の展覧会キュレーションも行う。
