Oh my goodness, I’ve been looking for this video for AGES! I talked about it on my old Furby blog (before the Tumbeasts ate it… I’m now at @furbaliciouslygay !), but I could never find a high quality rip from the showtape! This here’s the Durby– aka a Zebra Furby with a Chuck E Cheese derby put over it, haha!
This was a cute little intermission for the Chuck E Cheese showtape back in 1999, part of the Chuck E’s Holiday Party showtape! For those unaware, Chuck E Cheese used to wear an iconic red derby back in the ‘80s, so this was a callback joke to that era, a cross between a Furby and Chuck E’s old derby hat!
Fun fact: for many years after the filming of this segment, the Furby that was used in it could be spotted at Department 18, hanging out on a shelf in the Studio C setup they used for programming!
Here’s a picture of me when I was a kid at my first visit to Dept. 18 during CheeseVention 8! As you can see, the Furby’s up there on the right! I was 13 at the time! This was 2011, so it was about 12 years since the segment had been filmed, and the Furby was still there! :D Sadly, since CEC Corporate moved to another location, whoever owned the Furby (I’m assuming Matt Daniel) took them home and they haven’t been seen since. Hopefully they’re living their best Furby life, wherever they are now!
Ah, yes, also Strawberry’s house got painted today.
Strawberry is very pleased. Just what she wanted. I’ll post more pictures of it tomorrow morning in better light, but I was excited and also still testing the editing stuff on my new phone so sorry if it’s a lil wonky.
I hope you guys don’t mind the frequent updates on the furby house, honestly it’s helping me stay motivated when sometimes that’s difficult to maintain. Anyways, today I’m working on the patio garden. Mural was put up yesterday, and today I’m working on the patio and turf. I’ll post a picture of it all together later, but check out the marble paths. I got a single sheet of tile and peeled off the single tiles I liked best and hot glued em to the wood.
Aw yeeee it’s all coming together. For the wallpaper and mural I’ve used scrapbooking paper that I adhered with modgepodge. The modgepodge is great because it holds really well but also makes it easy to remove the wallpaper should I change my mind. Which I have. A couple times already.
Just looking and thinking. Wallpaper pretty much done, maybe a couple of ceilings left to do. After that it’s time to build furniture and stuff. The gang is eager to move in.
Ah, I decided I’d like to post a picture with nearly all the furbs in the house. 3 adult furbies are missing because they’re just off in another room rn and I was too lazy to grab em.
The furby buddy goblin gang won’t be living here because imo they’re like the borrowers or goblins of the furby world? I’m going to build them a very rustic cabin once the main house is complete. Anyways, I guess I got into this project because besides being into miniatures I’m also into building tiny (not in this case though lol) houses. What projects are you guys working on rn that you’re excited abt? Lemme know!
I’ve been wallpapering with scrapbooking paper today. Bottom room is the future laundry room, white floral room is Eggbert’s office, and the top is the bar/entertaining area. The office still needs some crown molding and a chair rail, and there’s still so much more to do but I felt like sharing.
Wow okay its been a while. This semester has been interesting.
On the plus side I found this bow at Target and gave it to Pinkette. On the negative side I am very stressed out and haven’t even had time to continue working on that furby house I was building. On another plus side the semester is almost over.
We cut the pieces to the house plan I posted the other day. Took some extra math stuff to get the exact measurements worked out so lemme know if you want em. I am so stoked to FINALLY be building a place for the furb gang to live, plus then I’ll have a little house to decorate.
I found that tiny ceramic mug at an antique shop a while back. The furby clan fights over it constantly. It was Pumpkin’s turn to use the mug this morning so obv we had coffee time together. Hopefully it will be a little bit before another fight breaks out over it, I’m getting sick of being accidentally bitten while trying to break up an argument. I don’t know why they get so heated over this!
My kiwi furby lemonade has gone missing. He’s been missing for about 6 months, and between covid and searching the house for him, I have to accept that ive left him somewhere

Hes very important to me, especially managing my ptsd since he comes to all my doctors appointments for support. I miss him so much, and if I have lost him, please help me bring him home.
