The walls of Winterfell were behind him, but Ser Rodrik faced them squarely and could not fail to see. Theon watched his face. When his chin quivered under those stiff white whiskers, he knew just what the old man was seeing.

"This is craven,“ Ser Rodrik said. "To use a child so … this is despicable.”
"Oh, I know,“ said Theon. "It’s a dish I tasted myself, or have you forgotten? I was ten when I was taken from my father’s house, to make certain he would raise no more rebellions.”

Theon’s face was impassive. "The noose I wore was not made of hempen rope, that’s true enough, but I felt it all the same. And it chafed, Ser Rodrik. It chafed me raw.” He had never quite realized that until now, but as the words came spilling out he saw the truth of them.

Saw Stonesnake’s description the other day and it really inspired me to draw him :) had a rough sketch sitting around in my files for a while, but now i felt motivated to finish it. Added Qhorin since ive been meaning to draw him for a while

I’ve been in a Daenerys mood lately and it’s been years since i’ve wanted to draw her wearing the hrakkar, so, uuhhh, here it is
My challenge to read A Game of Thrones in August is complete! In fact, I’ve just started A Clash of Kings. Hopefully I can finish that by the end of August too!
I’ve been reading through A Song of Ice and Fire and loving it. I am two thirds of the way through A feast for Crows and have to admit i’m a little vexed that so many of the characters I want to read about are shunned in this book or only mentioned in passing. Every Cersei chapter makes me want to burn something, not because it’s poorly written, but because she’s a bit of a shit really.
Anyway, Arya aside (should go without saying) I have really been enjoying Brienne’s part in the series, and I haven’t really seen much in the way of ‘fan’ art for her, so I figured I would sketch how she looks in my head as I read. I think her hair is longer than it should be, and she is probably too pretty for her description in the book, but this is pretty close to how I picture her.
