The Mitchells vs the Machines | Jeff Rowe and Phil Lord Animation Is Film Red Carpet Interview
Before co-director Mike Rianda announced a special “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” blu-ray home video release at CTN Expo, executive producer Phil Lord and co-director Jeff Rowe attended the Animation is Film Festival premiere. The two had very different reasons they related to the Mitchell family
“The Mitchells vs. the Machines” special edition, featuring deleted scenes, the extended Katie Mitchell cut, and a behind-the-scenes short about filmmaking, comes out on Dec. 14, 2021. The disc or digital download also includes instructions on making your very own Katie-face cupcakes.
Another batch of props from The Mitchells Vs The Machines , these are random bits and pieces from everywhere in the movie. Some stuff that was cut. Slide 6 has props by tiffany lam that I did alternate packaging/joke names for.
Realized I hadn’t posted any of the visual Development work I did for the Mitchells vs the Machines here on Tumblr. so here is the first batch! I primarily worked on environments and effects design as well as some color keys and story moment paintings. Had a blast working on this movie. It was my first film I got to work on. Truly a special project. The Blu-ray just dropped for any of you who are interested!! Hope you enjoy these, Ill post more in a few days or so.
