They enslave other races and draw on a vast racial memory. In some settings, they’re rumored to be older than the multiverse itself.

Something I’m working on…
One of my Twitter followers pitched the idea of creating a calendar called the Monster MANual, where it’s all D&D monsters redesigned as hunky guys, fireman-style.
