BACKGROUND
Pre Phase 1
Zea Vandlehart was never had a normal childhood. Her mother, Lizzie Vandlehart, would torture Zea to do her bidding. Lizzie was known as The Witch of Townsville, where Zea grew up. Lizzie would suck the life out of Zea by poisoning her, giving her skin a green pigment. She would also possess Zea to do imaginable things to people. When Zea was 16, she was taken advantage by on of her mother’s associates. Zea was also ridiculed at her school for her mother’s reputation. She didn’t have anywhere to go or anyone to turn to. That was until Ace D. Copular showed up.
Phase 1
Zea had met Ace when she was looking for her pet snake. She was up in a tree, but then the branch underneath her. Zea fell right into Ace’s arms. Zea’s feelings struck into motion. Little did Zea know, Ace felt the same way. Zea started hanging out Ace and Gangreen Gang. Soon she quickly became a member of the gang and started liking Ace more and more. However, Zea knew Ace could never love or even like her in that way.
Phase 2
[IC]Since Zea could never be with Ace, she dated a Korean boy named Dev. Dev offered Zea a position as a bassist in his band, Mirrored. Since Zea didn’t know how to play the bass, Ace was willingly to teach Zea. Ace really wanted to tell Zea how he really felt, but it was too late. Zea was already leaving for California with Dev and her friend, Delta.
Pre Phase 3
Before Zea’s first show with Dev, he cheated on her in the dressing room with Delta. Zea was in such a fit of rage, she beat them both with her bass, breaking it. After beating them both, Zea instantly felt regret. She ran out cowardly. Zea ended getting hit and knocked out by the one and only Murdoc Niccals.
Phase 3
Zea was bruised and kidnapped to Plastic Beach, because Murdoc thought she had killed her. This is where Zea met Lilac Darlington. Zea found comfort in talking with Lilac. Zea mostly talked about how she really missed Ace and Townsville. She spent most of her days in solidarity. Ironically, she got to know both Murdoc and Lilac more. 2D took a fond liking to her. Zea didn’t like 2D in the same way as she liked Ace. All she wanted was to be in Townsville again. During the events of Rhinestone Eyes, Zea was shoot in the shoulder and fell into the ocean. A masked girl went after her, and carried her to the coast of California.
Pre Phase 4
After Zea’s injuries, Zea moved into an apartment. Zea was normal for a good few years or so, then Murdoc and Lilac showed up along with the rest of the band. Murdoc gave Zea the position of manager.
Phase 4
When Murdoc and Lilac got together, Zea got quite jealous of their relationship, but Zea didn’t let it show. Zea did most of the paperwork and tour booking during this phase.
Phase 5
After Murdoc went to jail, Zea posted an ad on Craigslist. Little did she know, Ace was the one who took the ad. When Zea picked up the Gorillaz replacement bassist, she had never been more happy. Zea offered Ace to get a few drinks at a bar. Ace obviously accepted the offer. One thing led to another, Zea and Ace woke up in the same bed together. That morning, Ace confessed to Zea. Zea felt the same way. When Murdoc came back, Zea got scared and didn’t want Ace to leave. Instead, Ace took Zea with her back to Townsville. Zea’s current location is unspecified, but she’s believed to be back in the spring.
