Too cool! If you’re like me and wishing you were at Oshkosh this year, you’ll probably love this one.

Some great helmet cam footage of the F-4’s arrival to the show, including a couple of low passes and the landing. Don’t see many cockpit videos of F-4s that’s for sure!

The RCAF Snowbirds did a fine tribute and missing man formation for the late Capt. Jeff Kuss, Blue Angel #6. Rest in peace, Jeff - blue skies.

Cold, blustery, crosswind goodness. It’s not usually that interesting watching the control input displayed by the control surfaces. This videos is different, however!

“Hey.”

Haven’t been active the last few weeks. Life went and got busy on me! Between work, the holidays approaching and … oh, and GETTING MARRIED it’s just been on to the next thing one after another! But, it’s all good stuff. I’m back, hope you’re all doing well.

Resume.

Inadvertently had a bit of an “old and new” back to back set of favorites in my list of stuff to post. Oddly enough, they’re both from very similar parts of England!

I never know what to say on this day.

“Never forget,” I guess.

As if anyone alive that day could.

It’s as good a reason as there ever was to hug everyone you love a little tighter today.

HOLY COW.

30,000 is … nothing short of bewildering! I can honestly say I never thought this project would get beyond 1,000, let alone 30,000!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I love getting messages from each of you and sharing the best aviation-related media I can find on You Like Airplanes, Too?

————-

I decided to celebrate the occasion by giving away two t-shirts, one for the gals and one for the guys.

TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY: Either @reply me on Twitter (@ulikeairplanes2 or send me an “ask” here on Tumblr with an answer to the following:

“Why, like me, do you like airplanes, too?”

Best answers get t-shirts simple as that!

You can view the shirts and color choices here: https://youlikeairplanestoo.spreadshirt.com/

I’m sure I’ve said it before, but aside from pilot, I think loadmaster might be a pretty awesome job. At least in moments like this one. A U.S. Air Force Loadmaster sits on the ramp of a C-130 Hercules during airborne operations at International Jump Week (IJW), Ramstein Air Base, Germany, July 8, 2015. The 435th Contingency Response Group hosts IJW annually, to build global partnerships, foster camaraderie between U.S. and International paratroopers, and to exchange current tactics, techniques and procedures pertaining to Airborne Operations (Static Line and Military Free Fall). I’m sure like me, you’re all starting to grow somewhat tired of the, “Straight outta …” memes going around. Fun for a few days, sure.

This one actually made me laugh out loud, so, naturally, I figured you guys would like it, too.
