#september
he’s got places to go
September 16th is the full harvest moon, those of you not living here in the Americas will also have the chance to see the lunar eclipse. Remember now is a good time to recharge the tools of your craft and release any negative vibes or energy you’ve been unable to let go of. Also don’t be afraid if parts of your life seem to be shifting out of balance right now. We are transitioning into Autumn, mercury is still in retrograde, and this means everything is in a flux. Things are not falling apart, change is simply inevitable, embrace it and you will find it’s much easier to control the outcome once everything finally settles down again

september mood: warm crusty bread baked from scratch, oxford shoes and cable-knit sweaters, fluttering eyelashes and glossy dusk-pink lips, wooden buttons on wool coats, lily of the valley and violet perfumes, and watching vintage horror movies on a stormy night.
Consider this for ModernAU: MBJ waking up and wearing sqh’s shirt by accident cause he’s still too asleep for his brain to function.
I’ve been wanting to post this since last year asajrjkaha
Happy Moshunday, everyone!
Mabon Prayer
We thank you Oh Gods for the abundance of which we have received on this harvest. We are grateful for the lives and relationships that have positively and warmly affected our life this year. We ask that as we journey into the darkness, your light will continue to shine in our lives. When the darkness and cold surround our bodies, we ask that your guidance and love bring warmth to our souls. We thank the earth, wind, and spirits for the bringing of the seasons as we embrace Autumn. In your names we say this prayer. Thank you.

Non- Secular Meditation
For the abundance which we have received this harvest, we are thankful. We are grateful for the lives and relationships that have positively and warmly affected our life this year. As we journey into the darkness, may we find light. As the cold and darkness surround our bodies, may we find love and warmth. We thank the earth, wind, and spirits for the bringing of the seasons as we embrace Autumn. Thank you.

Mabon Blessing:
Blessed are those who crunch leaves underfoot and sing songs,
who laugh loud and warmly embrace,
who smile at the moon and laugh with the Sun.
Blessed are those who harvest our food, may they be eternally fed.
Blessed are those whom we love, may the light of our love fulfill their souls
And to those who love us, may their love be justly rewarded.
Blessed are those who are thankful, we bless their gratitude with warmth and light as we head into the darkness.
Finally, blessed are you who feels the pulse of our earth, hear the cries of the wind, and move through the year with each season, gathering its power as it comes. May this Mabon bring you the blessings and gratitude that you wish for yourself, and others.

What is it?
It’s a Pagan holiday celebrating and giving thanks to earth. (AKA sorta basically the pagan’s version of American Thanksgiving without all the genocide and football.) Also recognizing that the Light will be fading soon and the Dark half of the year will be starting.
When is it this year?

How do I celebrate?
Well you can celebrate anyway you like. There are some main components here:
Giving Thanks
Being around people you love
Appreciating all that you have
Food :)
I generally celebrate by hanging out with friends, making a big dinner, and being outside if at all possible.
Here is a list of things you could do:
Apple Picking
Go to a local farmers market, purchase (if you can) locally grown food to celebrate the harvest and end of growing season. ((grocery stores are fine too!))
Cook a meal with lots of veggies. THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOU! EAT THEM. :D
Make apple dumplings or any sweet fall tasting treats.
Craft! Make a collage of your favorite fall things. Draw a leaf. idk. Do something that makes you happy.
Call a friend and thank them for something they have done for you. or just talk.
Go for a walk. Smile like a loon at nature. She’ll appreciate it.
