Leucocoprinus birnbaumii (“Flowerpot Parasol,” “Plantpot Dapperling”) Mushrooms

Okay, so, funny story, the last pic is from a few days ago, and these neon yellow nodes kept getting bigger and more swollen looking on the cap of the mushroom, and I literally had a nightmare last night that they exploded and sent spores all over me while I was in bed (the pot they grew in is on my windowsill above my bed). And I know I’m a hypochondriac, but I legit have aerophobia about mushroom spores (and have been trying to overcome it by eating mushrooms more regularly over the past like decade), so I decided I had to remove them for my own sanity. You can tell how worked up it got me since I put it in a closed bag, lmao.
I went through the identification process and found out they’re not puffballs (puffballs are the kind that “explode” their spores), the one I have is actually an agaric family one that makes the umbrella shape and drops their spores below them.
I guess the pot must have dried it out before the cap could expand evenly, and thats why it looks like the tip is about to explode. (That’s where the stem is growing upward inside it.)
Either way, my hypochondriac ass is convinced I’m allergic to the spores, and while I love seeing mushrooms in the wild and trying to identify them, I don’t want to see these fruits on my indoor plants. I don’t care if the myceliae continue to grow (that’s unavoidable, and I don’t want to stress out my cordyline indivisa by tearing up the dirt), so as long as they stop making mushrooms inside!!

Side note, we’re forecasted to get really heavy rain tonight, so hopefully I find some cool mushrooms in the yard afterward!
