All eyes on Al-Aqsa, down with the occupation

Twitter user @/shathootha:

“BREAKING

It’s 6 am and occupational forces have just stormed Al-Aqsa shooting live + rubber ammunition and tear gas at Palestinians suffocating them. There are reportedly already 8 Palestinians wounded” (now up to 13 wounded)

Twitter user @/DrHoneyBadgerr:

“The occupation forces fired a heavy barrage of sound bombs and rubber-coated metal bullets at worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque”

Quoted tweet;

Twitter user @/batbolshevit:

“not just a place of worship but one of the oldest and most holy in islam… the occupation has no conscience or humanity”

15/04/2022 So far only 90 injures were evacuated from Al Aqsa Mosque to Al Magasid and the field hospitals. The Israeli Occupation Forces are brutally beatingxattacking and detaining dozens of people xover 80 actually, breaking the windows to attack the worshippersbyLIVE ammunitions, throwing sound grenadesx and teargas xxx, shooting journalists with rubber bullets one of them in the head, pushing them away to prevent them from reporting the assault, confiscating their cameras and cellphones and denying the medical crew from reaching critical injuries.

[ID : a tweet by #FreeAhmadManasra @/m7mdkurd on 15/04/2022 that reads : If the army of any other regime was to raid one of the world’s holiest sites, ransack it, shoot rubber bullets, tear gas the worshippers inside, and assault medics on camera, it would be all over intentional news. But Israelis get a pass. It’s “complicated.” Colonial impunity. /EndID]

This is still happening RIGHT NOW. Speak up.

pattycummins:

funny how there was nothing complicated about russia/ukraine, how ukrainians making molotov cocktails were not terrorists but were rightfully defending their land but for all these years no one wanted to speak up about palestine bc palestinians were terrorists for throwing stones at military tanks and the whole situation was too complicated.

more than 500 people have been detained and 170 injured at al-aqsa mosque. the israeli forces have raided the mosque time and time again in this holy month of ramadan.

israel has bombed gaza yet again.

they have targeted journalists, who cover their crimes.

and not forgetting the many innocents who have lost their lives at the hands of israeli forces, such as 18 year old Hanan Khdour who was killed in a military raid in JeninorGhada Sabateen, a widow and mother of 6 who was killed by Israeli forces for no apparent reason.

there is nothing complicated about this. there is only the oppressor and the oppressed.

[id. a person holds up a black board at a protest with the following statement written in white text: “it is not a "conflict” if 1 side has the guns & the other is praying“. the words "not”, “1”, “the guns” and “praying” are underlined. end id.]

el-shab-hussein:

IOF soldiers trying to block access to the Aqsa mosque before Fajr prayers and then attacking the crowd for questioning the decision and refusing to abide by it.

royalhandmaidens:

again, israeli soldiers have invaded and launched brutal attacks against muslims worshipping inside the al-aqsa mosque - injuring children, women, and elderly with live bullets, tear gas, and grenades at innocent civilians worshipping in peace

every single ramadan this happens. every single year.

for those who aren’t muslim, please understand the significance of the timing and location. the al-aqsa mosque is one of the most holy sites in islam, and it’s currently ramadan, the holiest month of the year. it is intentional.

and this isn’t even getting into how many innocents have been killed since ramadan began, including children, elderly, and a disabled widow who supported her six children, now orphaned

i pray for a day when our holiest sites are respected and protected, and i pray for a day when the oppressed can spend their holiest days in peace and safety. i pray for an end to the occupation and it’s evil.

US urges restraint after Al-Aqsa mosque reopened to Muslims

The United States urged all sides in Jerusalem to exercise restraint amid spiralling tensions in the holy city, and was working with Israelis, Palestinian and Jordanians to try to restore calm.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki also condemned the shooting of hardline rabbi Yehuda Glick, who holds both Israeli and US citizenship.

The images that are coming from Jerusalem is a proof of the righteousness of the Palestinian cause. They are a proof of the resilience of the Palestinian people and especially the Jerusalemites that are struggling against the Israeli Zionist machine. This machine that is trying so hard and relentlessly, first, to erase the identity of the city by controlling and chocking the Palestinian in their daily lives and driving out of the [old] city and, second, to create a new form of identity that would coincide with their weak, unfounded claims.

What is very inspiring in these images is that they manifest a new way of resistance. It is a way that has been imposed by the circumstances. Praying in the streets. It has become a defiant way to resist the occupation and its arrogance.
What is interesting about this form of resistance is that it is integral in our way of life. As Muslims, we pray five times a day, wherever we can. Therefore, we do not grow tired from it. It is also a strong and clear message that the identity of the city will not be an easy target even when everybody turned their backs on the Jerusalemites.
Even if the form of resistance here is just praying in the streets, it has been faced with suppression and violence. It is an indication that the occupation is hugely affected by this form of resistance and that it is unable to deal with it. It was reported that three Palestinians have been executed and hundreds have been injured last Friday (21st of July 2017) by settlers and/or the occupation forces. In addition, injured worshippers have been attacked by dogs and kidnapped from hospitals. Yes, the only democracy in the Middle East.

It is important to say here that when we talk about the identity of Jerusalem, we are not talking about a religious identity, but we are talking about a city that has incorporated various religions that have lived together without trying to step on one another, except when we talk about foreign invaders.

al aqsa mosque this morning, one of the holiest sites of islam, and during the holiest month

western news sources are calling what took place here “clashes”

tell me - do you see a clash of equal forces? or do you see israeli soldiers pushing elderly grandparents down stairs, beating women unprovoked, firing live ammunition and grenades inside a place of worship, and worshippers ducking for cover as soldiers indiscriminately fire at them?

may the occupation and it’s lies and evils come to an end.

hayatin:

SubhanAllah my heart is breaking for our Ummah and the oppression of my brothers and sisters in Al-Quds. May Allah protect those protecting our holiest sites and their homes and families.

Shame on you, Instagram and Twitter, for censoring and hiding these injustices by blocking these hashtags. You are complicit.

The video speaks for itself. Trapping worshippers inside their place of worship and then shooting at men, women, and children while others are being forced from their homes at gunpoint not far away is sickening. The fact that this violence is taking place in some of the holiest days of the year, at one of the holiest sites of our religion, is not a coincidence.
