Hello besties. Since Ramadan is starting I’d just like to point out something about the “nsfr” tags. (It would be cool if y’all reblogged)
I’m not sure why those even started but they really go against the purpose of fasting itself. One of the very important aspects of fasting is self controlandpatience, muslims are supposed to live their regular lives while fasting and practice control over hunger or anger etc.
Thus, tagging food or drinks or maybe even nsfw content as “nsfr” doesn’t make sense, regardless of how cute it is to see non-muslims try their best to be super inclusive and make spaces more friendly. But just a psa for this year: it’s okay to post the same way as you do all year, this month is just our time to exercise patience:) !!
And if certain Muslims feel the need to really block certain posts for the day, they always have the option to block tags like “food” or “nsfw”.
