The NAACP awards took place a few weeks ago… I felt compelled to cover the fashionable appearances. Its always amazing and inspiring to see so many beautiful and stylish black women on the red carpet being celebrated. This year everyone looked beyond sensational….Here are some of my favorite looks! (in no particular order)
Actress Gabrielle Union wore an impeccable cut-out gown by Gauri & Nainika
Kerry Washington had a romantic look in a rosy-red lacy frock by Zuhair Murad
Outstanding was simply a word to describe the iconic Angela Bassett who dressed in black & gold.
Styled in white, Carmen Ejogo wore a dress designed by SolaceLondon.
Niecy Nash rocked black effortlessly. Her off-the-shoulder, mermaid dress had a tulle fabric effect at the bottom which made her look exclusive.
More of my favorite black actresses who looked stunning that night included Teyonah Paris in Amato by Furne One, Tika Sumpter in Roland Mouret and Uzo Aduba in Zac Posen.
Tessa Thompson kept it modest and chic in a unique structured Kenzo dress.
