Okay, so in the recent livestream that they did for Tiger & Bunny 2, Episode 5, we learned that Antonio likes Agnes, but this is a secret (or like, something that shouldn’t be mentioned, I’ve seen some Japanese fans saying NG = no good or オフレコ (ofureko = off the record).

So some Japanese fans are speculating that Agnes may be pregnant with Antonio’s baby or that Antonio keeps bringing Agnes high calorie foods (b/c he likes her, so he is bringung her food, etc.).

I don’t mind the idea of Agnes gaining weight because she is pregnant. I think it is important to have media that depicts pregnant women working. My only worry is that they’ll do something like have her quit after having the baby or lose weight and suddenly be skinny again (if this does end up being the case). If she doesn’t quit though and isn’t suddenly skinny again like magic, then I’ll be more okay with that idea. We have a female director this time, so if they do go down this route, I have a bit more faith in them.

Of course, this is all just fan speculation and theorizing. Still interesting to think about and possibly something we will see being addressed in the second cour of season 2.

I’ve been thinking about this all day, so I’m going to add some additional thoughts to this in this reblog. I also posted about this over on the T&B subbreddit (and left a comment on the post with these same thoughts).

I *do* like the idea of Antonio and Agnes though, and I wouldn’t mind if the series explored that in an episode. It would be nice to get another episode with a larger focus placed on Antonio and, even more so than that, it would be *really* nice to see Agnes in a situation outside of HeroTV and work. We’ve never seen her outside the work setting before and if they did do something like an Antonio and Agnes focused episode (if it results in an actual relationship or not) it would be the perfect episode to flesh Agnes out more.

Another thing that makes this bit of information and anything possibly happening between them story wise very interesting to me, is how that would make them an official pairing in the series, and T&B doesn’t really have any of that, outside of Kotetsu and Tomoe. Kotetsu and Barnaby are heavily implied and are absolutely open to that interpretation, of course, but the stance on that (so far) is still that their relationship is open to interpretation. If we get one canon pairing in the way of Antonio x Agnes, I feel that opens the floodgates for other possible canon ships.

Preteen:

Kaede - 12 (Based on her confirmed age in Season 1)

Early Teens:

Lara (13/14) - Her character is meant to represent magical girls, who usually range in age between 10 - 15 years old. But Lara definitely seems like the youngest of the bunch.

Mid to Late Teens:

Pao-lin (16) (Based on her confirmed age in Season 1)

Subaru (16 - 18)

Thomas (16 - 18)

College Aged: (18 - 23)

Karina (19) (Based on her confirmed age in Season 1)

Ivan (21/22) (Mostly confirmed?)

Ryan (22/23)

Late 20s to 30:

Barnaby (27)  (Based on his confirmed age in Season 1)

Keith (28 - 30) - His character has never felt like one of the older heroes (like Nathan, Antonio, and Kotetsu), but he also didn’t feel like a teen or early 20 year old either. So I can see him being around Barnaby’s age, just a little bit older.

Early to Mid 30s:

Agnes (33 - 35)

Nathan (34/35) - Nathan feels younger than Kotetsu and Antonio, but not by much. I feel like Nathan was already 30+ in Season 1, so I would be surprised if they were younger than that, tbh.

Mid to Late 30s +:

Antonio (35/36) - Apparently, Antonio is younger than Kotetsu. Though there was a drama CD that made it clear that they attended school together, so I don’t see him being that much younger.

Yuri (35 - 37) - I can see him being close to Kotetsu in age. He was a teen when his dad started drinking and the problems and cover-ups and staged stuff to keep Mr. Legend on top was all happening. While Kotetsu admired him as a older child and met Mr. Legend when he was still in his prime. So I feel Yuri should be around Kotetsu’s age. The connection they share via Mr. Legend also makes me think that it would be neat if they were the same age. Plus, he is a judge, and most judges are like 40+ years old.

Kotetsu (36/37) - He’s the oldest of the bunch (in regards to heroes anyway, it could be possible that Yuri is older).

*All of the confirmed ages I got from a This Is Sternbild post (all the way back in 2011). I didn’t personally agree with some of the takes on ages. This is also mostly just to reflect my own personal view on how I see the characters and the vibes they give off, etc.

Edit: We now have Kotetsu’s official age!

In the recent livestream it was revealed that Kotetsu was born in NC1942, debuted as a hero at the age of 25, was 26 when Kaede was born, was 35 in Season 1, and is now 38 years old as of Season 2

Thanks to サンチェスパコミA55a (@tigermilk8282) for sharing the info. Go if their twitter a follow! :D

We got official confirmation that Antonio is 38 years old too! That makes sense to me, since he and Kotetsu both went to school together. I don’t know where fandom got the idea that Antonio was slightly younger, but the official confirmation is that they are the same age.

A recent tweet by Ueda-sensei about T&B 2, Episode 5. The translation is by me.

Text: “Since the citizens [of Sternbild] don’t know that Antonio and Origami are Heroes, the citizens in the bank were likely just thinking that these two awesome and mysterious NEXT just saved them.”

“I believe that something else, the substance of your spirit, stays incorporated in the work. The work is made to transmit emotion. The starting point of the artist, if they are figurative, is the world. … The material with which you work is the objective world, but you incorporate some of your soul, and that is art.” Antonio Lopez

Series’ character designer, Masakazu Katsura, is exhibiting 40 years of his work that he has contributed to the manga and anime industry, which will include TIGER & BUNNY 2 art. Art boards and clear files are being sold as merchandise at the venue, which feature key frame art that Katsura contributed to the “kaleido proud fiesta” opening song of TIGER & BUNNY 2.

Katsura answered questions regarding TIGER & BUNNY’s production, specifically mentioning about designing the hero, Wild Tiger, which took 6 months. He recalls his persistence: “It took a long time to create the character, but I was still anxious about it. I thought, "This is it, but I don’t know if it’s good or bad…” Looking back on his feelings at the time, he said, “It was wonderful when I saw it in action. I was happy with it.”
