I’m currently in the process of ending my current job (last day will be on July 1st), job hunting, as well as trying to improve some skills through online classes, and brushing up my resume. On top of that, since my current housing situation is housing that was offered by my company, I’m in the process of moving back to my parents’ place for a bit until I find somewhere to rent on my own.
I’ve also picked up another side job of helping out a friends’ small business social media content and curation. So, I’m currently super busy. It’s why I’m not posting or reblogging much right now.
But I just want to say that I LOVE all of the FireSky fanart I’ve been seeing lately (and will reblog them all when I get the time + energy to do so). It was such an unexpected pair up, but after the initial surprise, and after seeing all the fanart for it, I’ve just grown to love it SO much! <3 It’s such a sweet and precious pairing, and I’m going to (hopefully) get my write up for it done this weekend.
hero costume designs for my Sky High reboot/AU. in this version, its inspired a bit on My Hero Academia, in that power can evolve over time. I think I would make the movie plot into 3 seasons of around 13 episodes.
Will: I tried to make his design fit with his family’s…. like in the movie he doesn’t have powers. so he never enters Sky High (i mean it doesn’t make sense and can be very dangerous to not powered people) instead he goes to a normal high school, because his hero training he is really good at {insert sport here}, and make it to the team, he is popular and has a girlfriend, she is normal, and his big brother was civilian who died in a fight between super people, she shows Will a side of society, and how people fears supers. at the end of the first season he gets his super strength and joins Sky High… in the second season he gets Flying like in the movie.
Warren: he is half Japanese, son of a yakuza and a fire powered hero, due to that he never belonged in either world. thats why the lone wolf attitude. until he meet Layla, she shows him that he can be part of something and he can find his own family. Layla is who cuts his hair because Character Development.
Zach: my son, he starts glowing only, but later he is able to shoot laser beams and fly. he is the first to get to hero class, and is he who goes to the “I have new and better friends now” arc instead of Will, also he is totally gay and starts dating Lash, will lash turn zach to the dark side or our bright boy will show Lash the light? his costume was inspired by Gambit and kinda on green lantern’s
Layla: pretty much the same but more active on trying to take down the whole sidekick/hero system, and later the whole Super/Normal system (thats the whole point of the third season, are supers really good for society?) her costume was inspired on Emma Frost and Poison Ivy (mostly from super hero girls)
Magenta: the wiki says her last name is Queen and i thought, another of Oliver’s kids.. she is the daughter of two high rank agents (think of something like SHIELD), but actually his father was a shape-shifting villain who took on Magentas Dad form and well.. you get it… her powers arent that strong, and she can later turn into other animals, but nothing powerful, so she is really skilled fighter and weapon expert, she also is the strategist of the team.
Ethan: he was the one who took me the most, think on Aquaman, he is the son of a scientist and Atlantean Princess, he is royalty, but not in line for the throne, in fact he is really good friends with his Cousin, who will be the next King, its because of him that Ethan get to train in Atlantis and learn hydrokinesis… and its because that he now is a member of the royal family that he gets to the hero class.
Lash: I named him Lange Richards as a nod to Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic. he is the most popular hero on Sky High, he isnt a bully but he is pretty full of himself, think of Troy Bolton but more mean and egocentric, like a Troy Bolton with Regina George undertones. he is hot, and he knows it, he knows he has the face, the skills, the abs, the full package… and he will not hesitate to use his body to get what he wants. in the beginning he starts playing with Zach, but the more time he spent with him the harder he fell for him, what started as a mission turn into real love, and he hates it, he never was in love before, and now he would do anything for Zach, even betraying his group.
Gwen: she still mostly the same, but her hero name is Matrix… she is defeated in season 2 but comes back on season 3 to defeat the government once she realizes that the system that drove her crazy wasnt because Sky High, but because the government. and supers elitists. she will join Will and the others in order to change the world, but that doesnt mean she isnt a villain. her costume was highly inspired on scarlet witch.
