I want to know what the HELL did Uther think when he decided not to tell Arthur and Morgana that they are siblings back when they were little. They literally flirted with eachother in season 1 aka they considered eachother as possible partners and that’s just sick. And that’s Uther’s FAULT.
I’m just laughing cause at the time marriage between family was normal. Like BASIC
But above all because in some version of the original legends of Camelot etc Morgana and Arthur have sex and they are Mordred’s parents.
Merlin using a spell on Arthur that took away his free will, took away his mind and personality - that wasn’t just shitty, manipulative, and a profound betrayal of Arthur’s trust in him (beyond lying or breaking the law, it was a violation of his person)
it was downright villainous
and Merlin’s apparent lack of regret or hesitation even more so.

gaius pushes Merlin toward such fucked up decisions & actions, and he may have genuinely loved him, but he was just about the Worst Possible Mentor for Merlin
