A baby elephant at Boras Zoo in Sweden chases birds, falls on his front and runs to his mom!
Play is an important part of many species’ childhood. It teaches them basic skills important for later survival like agility, hunting, and sparring while in the relative safety of friends or relatives. This baby elephant definitely got out of his comfort zone by reaching out to another species!

As a mom, I remember that first time my kids slept through the night. That sheer panic when you wake up & realize your baby didn’t cry a single time and you race to the nursery to make sure everything is ok. I half wonder if that’s the case here. It’s great the mom trusts the zookeepers enough to get help and I loved that as soon as the baby (who’s still very young, judging from the fur on its head) was on its feet, it ran straight for mama.
This is probably one my favorite vids on the internet.

Just here to let you guys know that for the foreseeable future, I won’t be able to go to the zoo as I usually do each week due to the coronavirus situation.
I do have some pictures that I’ll be able to post over the next couple of weeks, but there might be a period where I’m not able to post anything at all.
