I’m not really satisfied with the result, but taking into consideration that I drew it while being half-asleep, I’m proud of myself that it was created at all. Fire and dance. And henna.

As for I decided to take some inspiration for this year’s Inktober from amazing @djamilaknopf , there goes the first botanical witch from her prompt: the lavender one (yes, you have to believe that it’s something lavender-ish). ONLY THE PENITENT MAN WILL PASS.

#INKFLORESCENCE Day 6: Hellebore.
The Hellebore is a very poisonous plant, largely associated to Madness and Delirium. It was also used by witches to make the flying ointment.

Original available for purchase, send me a DM if you’re interested.

Inktober day 3: Acorn witch

Galadriel, from the Lord of the Rings. Initially being taken by Gimli and Rohirrim for the dangerous witch, later on she gives Sam the nut of the silver mallorn. I always imagined it as a sort acorn so there you go

1/31. Lavender witch. Trying a series of witches this month based on @djamilaknopf’s#botanicalwitchesprompt list (it spoke to me the moment I saw it!) I’m hoping to work on people and faces, hair, flowers, clothes, maybe some cute familiars, and of course, witchy stuff! First up is Lavender with her tiny crow. Hope you like these, I’m excited!

#inktober day 2! Today I went with a different prompt, ‘rosemary witch’ from @djamilaknopf & her #botanicalwitches
This worked out really well as I’ve been working on a character called Rosemary, (they/they’re) for a while now ✨ so meet Rosemary. I thought I’d spice up my #inktober2018 by also picking a random page from ‘The Woman’s Dictionary of Symbols & Sacred Objects’ (Barbara G. Walker) & adding whatever I got into my inktober concept. Today I randomly got ‘Nixie’, which is a water sprite, which is joyful as I associate rosemary with the boundary between fire & water, being a herb associated with fire & the sun, but growing so plentifully along the coast! The ‘Rose de la Mer’! So Rosemary is summoning a water sprite, & a fab job they’re doing too lazy ink-job today, too much to do

Fern Bard

This one’s somewhat inspired by Rayla from The Dragon Prince – I interpreted her d&d race as half-drow, half dragonborn, which I think is fitting considering the show’s lore. She has a different hairstyle in one of her concept drawings  that looks really cute short!
