Since HP figurines don’t exist yet, I figured I’d start making them myself - finding props for Brooke was tough, but I worked it out
Honestly though, this was very challenging - nailing an anime style with polymer clay was a lot harder than I thought it would be; I have an easier time figuring out real human facial features. Watching a character come to life slowly was really rewarding though, so I look forward to doing this again!
I haven’t drawn my OCs in 4 years… But my inspiration for them has been revived at long last! Ok, and since this is original characters that we’re talking about here, I’ll have to give a short description for each of them. From left to right…
Taziz and Shalita Taziz is my character and Shalita belongs to my long-time friend, Alisha. These two started out as Narnia FCs, but have evolved to have their own story in a unique world that I’m building. They weren’t originally meant to be together, but…kind of fell in love by accident so Alisha and I just went with it. =P Their story is kind of long and involved, but in a nutshell, they go through some serious shit together, and gain a love and respect for each other unlike anything they’ve ever felt for anyone else. Unfortunately, Taziz has a mission in his own country that he has to fulfil. The authorities in his country don’t like the message he’s spreading, as it encourages people to rise up and unite against their oppressive government, so Shalita has no way of contacting him after they say their goodbyes. However, he writes her letters regularly about his mission.
Danny and Lis I WISH these two were mine, but they belong to my friend, Devin! She’s writing a chose-your-own-story romance called Inked about a tattoo/body mod professional named Danny. My personal favorite suitor in the game is a shy little thing named Lis. She’s just so pure and adorable, and my heart melted when I first ran into her in the demo. Anyway, I can’t wait to play the full game so I can see their full story!
Brooke and Angelo These two are probably my oldest and dearest OCs. They’re from a graphic novel that I’m going to call When in Rome. Long story short, modern-day 9th grader, Brooke, finds herself somehow stuck in the world of mythical Rome. Her guide is a winged boy, Angelo, who seems to be the only one who believes her story and vows to do whatever it takes to help her get home. Unfortunately, she lets slip some trivia that she learned in history class recently and ends up getting labeled as a seer. The Roman god, Mars, ends up perusing them so he can exploit her supposed “powers”.
James and Grace This story takes place in the same world that Taziz and Shalita are from. In that world, there are 3 main species of humanoids. James and Grace are born into the industrial era of the world, where the world powers have decided to utilize the strengths of each of the 3 species by limiting the jobs they are allowed to do. This creates a very stark class division based on species. Grace comes from the lowest tier, and James comes from the highest. She’s been assigned to him to do heavywork, as her species is more equipped for it, while he works as an editor for educational works.
I’m kinda bad at summing up, but yeah! There’s that. I wish I had time to draw Alisha’s lovely OCs, Rizzi and Tula, from her story Imperfect Fairy Tale, but I ran out of time. ;-; Hope you like the sketches!!
