WHAT IF Steve went back in time did his thing had his date with Peggy and THEN he did try to save Bucky from Hydra and prevent the suffering BUT that messed with the sacred timeline he got picked up by the TVA like loki was?? And WHAT IF Old Steve is just a TVA agent of some sort and the shield was from like the pile of junk similar to the paper weight infinity stone situation
