Acrylics on canvas - Portlet Bay, Jersey
Let’s make one thing clear, I’m not a fan of canvas painting and I’m certainly no fan of large canvases. This was a commissioned piece on a canvas that measured 1.5m x 1.5m which pretty much my height. I’m not exactly tall but that’s a huge ass canvas.
Can’t say I’m a big fan of landscape painting either but I’m very glad it’s finished now, even if I’m not overly pleased with the final result.

Catalina Island: Parsons Landing
Without a doubt one of the best camping experiences we’ve had. The conditions were perfect and a beautiful storm rolled in right around the time we went to sleep. The lighting, the scenery, the seclusion was lovely. I’m so completely amazed that one of the coolest trips we’ve done is just a one hour boat ride from one of the biggest cities in the world.

Beltane ramble in Guernsey !
I visited the ancient site called “Le Dehus dolmen”, it is impressive. Nobody around, I could be alone inside and stay as much as I wanted. The face carved in the stone, close to the ceiling, is called “The Guardian of the tomb”.
