The Pack is Back
~ Teen Wolf the movie; coming 2022
Sometimes I wonder if Coach knew about the supernatural.
In season three there’s a scene where Isaac is beating up one of the twins; Danny tries to pull him off but Isaac shrugs him off and Coach is shouting at Isaac, but it’s only when Scott shouts that Isaac stops and Coach looks at Scott as if he knows why Isaac listened to him.
And then in season six, Ethan and Jackson are cornered and Coach comes in for the save. He knocks the guy out and acts chill about it. He doesn’t question why anyone’s injured or what the guy was, just says hi to Jackson and walks off.
Maybe he didn’t know everything but he had to know something, right?
Look, Coach Finstock was the only “human” heavily influenced by Tamora’s virus just lake the werecreatures were, so I stand by the thought that Coach WAS one of them.
Oh my gosh, I completely forgot about that. That takes this to a whole other level.
I wonder what he would be though, because he doesn’t have the strength of a were (he gets hit in the stomach by a lacrosse ball and doubles over but at the same time handled getting shot by an arrow pretty well), and it would explain why he’d be running around naked on a cold night. Then again, he wasn’t affected by the wolfsbane whistle.

New headcanon: Coach knows about the supernatural and that’s why he drinks.
@felinitive: If we assume Finstock knows about the supernatural world, then what makes the most sense for me for his personality and drinking is that he lost someone or someones important to supernatural shenanigans, but he couldn’t do anything about it. Grief sometimes can makes you a bit crazy
… Ow. But so good!
