Brief summary: After Alparslan collapses [see previous post], his men load him up on a wagon (not shown) and take him back to their village. Alparslan is still unconscious, and his family, friends, and future love interest are all very worried upon his arrival.
When he finally wakes up, Alparslan is determined to go after the man that killed his mother, but is too weak (and in too much pain) to get up… but that doesn’t stop him from trying. His struggle causes his wound to start bleeding, and his father finally convinces him to rest and let his wound heal.
Later, he manages to sneak away from the village and rides to see the Sultan (his uncle), but is still in a great deal of pain. To make matters worse, the strenuous activity makes his wound bleed again, and he half-collapses in his uncle’s arm upon arrival. After they talk, the Sultan insists he’s seen by the doctors, and Alparslan, exhausted and still in pain, finally agrees.
(Seriously, y’all, the sounds he makes here… his heavy breathing and the way he keeps trying to get up until he’s literally too exhausted to try anymore… the way his eyes keep drifting closed, teeth gritted in pain… talk about whumperflies!)

My very first ever objects set It took me an entire month and a billion of my smol brain cells to finish it, but it was worth it. I always felt like TS4 lacked some cute comfy sofas so when I wanted to try my hand on buy items I decided to make some of these and look how it turned out! I’m so proud of myself. they sit on the couch, side by side, no words exchanged between them. B’s wrapped in a blanket that’s clutched to their chest, the same way they’ve been for the last two hours since they got home.
A tries again. “C’mon, love. What’s up?”
B just shrinks further in the blanket and says nothing. there aren’t words for what B feels right now. they couldn’t explain it if they tried. truthfully, they know exactly what they need. but for so long, they haven’t had the courage to ask, haven’t had the luxury of asking things of others. but maybe this time….
slowly, slowly, they allow themselves to fall to one side, so their head can fall ever so gently on A’s shoulder, praying they don’t push them away. and of course, as always, they had nothing to fear. A responds with a gentle hand to B’s head, stroking their hair, then strong arms around them, pulling them close in a hug.
that feeling of warmth, security, of being held - it wasn’t a magic fix, but oh, it felt good. they melt into A, every tired, achy muscle in B’s body relaxing into the safety they’ve been craving. A must feel the change in B’s body, because they only hold them tighter, shifting positions so that B can get closer and rest their head on their chest.
B’s not okay. not yet. but for now, they’re safe and warm and held and protected, and that’s still somehow more than they ever thought they could ask for.
