It’s a murder mysterywith a twist, featuring a cursed mummy, a glimpse of Ancient Egypt and a queer love story.

GENERAL
- Please keep your works SFW, so anyone can enjoy this zine!
- Please only apply if you’re serious about working on the zine
- Be respectful and kind. No hate or harassment. Check people’s roles as to whether they are open to DM’s or their pronoun roles. It’s common courtesy to not be a jerk to everyone. Treat everyone with the same respect that you would like to be treated with. Slip-ups happen, and that’s understandable. If it becomes a common occurrence, however, you’ll be messaged.
- Don’t over-spam. Keep mentions to a minimum
- NSFW content should only be posted in the appropriately labelled channel
- When linking to fic or sharing snippets or summaries, use all appropriate content warnings. Include warnings for noncon, dubcon, excessive or graphic violence, underage sex, incest, character death, or anything else that might be potentially problematic for a reader
- NO SPOILERS outside of the spoiler channel. For the purposes of this server, spoilers include anything that was released in the last 30 days
- No negativity! This isn’t the place to complain about canon or fanon. This is a place to encourage each other to write and create art. There are plenty of other places for ranting and complaining
- No discrimination is allowed, this goes along with the rule above. Treat everybody with kindness, and don’t call other people racist, homophobic, sexist, etc names. This is a safe space for everyone
- Don’t post creations that aren’t yours without a source
- If you feel uncomfortable/disrespected or need help, please reach out to a mod.
- You don’t need any previous zine experience to join, and we will be allowing people of different skill sets and levels in
- You need at least two sample works and a portfolio
- Samples won’t be your pieces for the zine
- Zine pieces should be new, unpublished works
- Must be 16+ to participate!
WRITERS
- Samples should be 1-2k fic extracts from published/unpublished/wips for writers
- Fics for the zine should be 1-2 pages
- Poems should be 100-500 words
- Drabbles must be between 500-1500 words
BETAS
- As a beta please submit at least two fics that you’ve done beta reading for
- You will be required to beta read for 1-3 fics for the zine, depending on the ratio and how many your willing to do. This number is subject to change
- Beta reading requires:
• helping with ideas
• fixing grammar
• fixing continuity
ARTISTS
- Artist samples will require finished pieces so we know what you can do! Be sure to submit things you’re proud of!
- Artist works should be 8.5" x 11" (full page) when accompanying a fic or as a solo piece
- When accompanying a drabble or poem, it should be 4.25" x 5.5" (half a page)
MERCH
- Merch samples must be two finished pieces of art, and follows the same rules as artists
- Postcards much be 4.25" by 5.5"
- Stickers can be no bigger than 3" x 3"
- Bookmarks must be 2" x 6"
- Desktop wallpapers must be 1920 x 1080 pixels
- Phone wallpapers must be 640 x 480 pixels
- Icons must be no larger than 900 x 900 pixels and must be square
WHAT IS IT?
Marvel After Midnight is a Halloween Marvel themed zine!
WILL IT BE PHYSICAL OR PDF
We’re currently hoping to make it available in both forms! But we’ll have to see what’s going on when we open sales.
WHAT KIND OF MERCH WILL THERE BE?
If you buy a physical merch you’ll get: bookmarks, postcards, stickers and possibly buttons/pins/patches!
If you buy a digital merch you’ll get: desktop wallpapers, phone wallpapers and icons!
HOW MUCH WILL THE ZINE COST?
We’re still figuring out the exact price, but we’re estimating PDFs to be about 10$, PDFs with merch to 15$, physical copies to be about 25-30$, unsure how much physical copy & merch will be, then a bundle of everything for possibly 50$
IS THERE A SPECIFIC SETTING OR THEME?
There is! Halloween! In any of its forms, just celebrating the spooky season!

WHAT SHIPS ARE ALLOWED?
Anything that isn’t minor/adult or incestuous is okay to include!
DO WORKS NEED TO BE SHIP BASED?
Not at all! While you’re free to include whatever ships your heart desires in your work, you'realso free to not do any! It can be focused more on the characters and their adventures, a ship, or a mix. Whatever you’re wanting to create for.
WHAT UNIVERSE IS THIS ZINE BASED OFF OF?
The main verse will be 616 or the comics, however we aren’t going to limit you so feel free to create for different canon or non canon universes.
CAN I COLLAB TO MAKE A SMALL COMIC?
Yes! You can also create the comic all by yourself, but you’re free to find an artist/author to make a comic with. The limit for comics is 3 pages! If needed I can also help find you partners. Once acceptances go outill make a spreadsheet with different types of work/collabs and people can give what their interested in or not doing.
IS THIS ZINE FOR PROFIT, NON PROFIT OR CHARITY?
We’re currently leaning towards for profit, but it isn’t set in stone yet! After acceptances go out there will be a poll on what the contributors would rather have the funds go to!
