I competed with Mary Poppins in 2016, earning a Judges Award at #LCTC and Best in Pop Culture 1st at #GenCon. She was a blast to make! Lots of embroidery and small detailing. I tried to make it as screen accurate as possible. I need to wear it again. Triple thanks to @bubblesgal0re for carving that bird head. Added a great touch.

Good leaders are hard to find. They always have been. I wrote this a year ago and it seems even more true today: “Oh how the heart soars at the mere mention of the return of a good king! We all want a real-life Aragorn. Though history constantly shows us bad examples of kingship, something inside us yearns for the truly good sovereign, one that we have never seen but we know can be. We look for a king that will cast down tyrants and bring justice and peace, a king that will serve his people to his very last breath, a king that will let no evil thing abide. “In America: An Anthology of Fashion" ✨
Opening May 7, the second in our two-part #MetInAmerica exhibition, staged in the @metmuseum’s American Wing period rooms, explores the foundations of American fashion through a series of sartorial displays featuring individual designers and dressmakers working in the United States from the 19th to the mid-late 20th centuries.
Inspired by the vision of Met curators from The #CostumeInstitute and @metamericanwing, nine film directors will create fictional cinematic vignettes, or “freeze frames,” that share new perspectives on American fashion. These mise-en-scènes will reveal the role of dress in shaping the diverse nature of American identities and exploring the layered histories of these room settings.
Contributing directors include Janicza Bravo, Sofia Coppola, Julie Dash, Tom Ford, Regina King, Martin Scorsese, Autumn de Wilde, Chloé Zhao and Radha Blank.
