The Queen of Snakes is easily the largest and oldest snake you’ve ever encountered. During her long life she has learned many human languages so as to decide which people will make the best meals
This is my second redraw of the Queen of Snakes and my last Drawtober of this year! Thank you for sticking around and hopefully enjoying what I drew. It is always fun for me to take a break from my regular work to indulge in making monsters and ghosts
The first twelve designs are for sale at my Etsy now, and the last four will go up in a week or so. Sales from this Drawtober have truly helped me make up for a less fruitful year when it came to sales and jobs, so thank you again everyone for helping me make up what I knew I needed to earn to keep this year on the right path for myself financially

Under the sea is no place for humans, but this mermaid still hasn’t seemed to get a good grasp on that concept
You all know I like mermaids a lot, and well, if you didn’t know that you know it now! I love all versions of them, from the more monstrous to the beautiful. The one idea I always thought was interesting though is the concept that mermaids may not understand that humans cannot join them in their fun under the sea and may just constantly be pulling humans to their doom with little idea of how murderous that all becomes
I have a few more Drawtobers up my sleeve, at least one or two more. So keep an eye out for my last hurrah over the rest of this week!

The princess and her protector
Just a fairly straightforward flip on the story: instead of the dragon keeping the princess imprisoned, it keeps her protected. I’ve always thought it was a clever idea as many others have written about it/drawn it before me! The dragon was inspired by many medieval dragon drawings I’ve seen, dinosaurs, and Malificent’s (in the 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty) dragon form
Hope you didn’t miss me too much in the day I took off! I have at least two more Drawtobers to make before I reach 15 (my original goal)!

She is single again, but ignore all those black widow rumors—she promises they aren’t true of course. She is free tonight, will you be her next date?
Just a spider lady, thought it could be fun to play with black widow/orb weaver patterns and body types in this creature. I know spiders really creep folks out (myself included), but hopefully this one is just a fun amount of scary

The cockatrice can end someone’s life just by looking at them, touching them, or even breathing on them. It is said that to kill a cockatrice you need to show it its own reflection, or let it hear a rooster crow
These are probably not the most well known mythical creatures, but they are pretty straightforward: a giant rooster mixed with a dragon/snake. For my version I modeled it after a golden pheasant and a traditional rooster! These creatures were featured prominently in English myth for centuries

This werewolf seems to have not noticed you…yet. His silhouette darkens the light of the full moon, his howls pierce the night leaving nothing but silence in its wake, and his strange growls almost sound like laughter. You better hide, before his gaze turns to you
Like many of the creatures you see in my yearly Drawtobers, this is another attempt at something I’ve drawn before. There are just some monsters I really love to revisit. The werewolf is a creature of old found across many times and cultures and goes by many different names. Any folk creature (like ghosts and vampires for example) that show up in stories across the world like that fascinate me, and always make me want to research more. And again reminder: these pieces are for my *personal* Drawtober. I am not doing them for any particular challenge so please do not label them or share them as such. Thank you!

The three Gorgon sisters were Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa. The two eldest sisters were immortal. The youngest, Medusa, was not. The pain the three suffered was unimaginable, but the worst was when three became only two after Perseus took Medusa’s head
Stheno and Euryale tried to killed Perseus in retribution, but could not. Euryale wept and howled for her lost sister. Her bellows could crumble stone and made the earth quake
As a reminder my personal Drawtober is not associated with any particular challenge, even if the most popular one likes to share my work as if it is a part of it. I do this for fun with no themes, no preplanned days. I have been very clear this isn’t a part of any other challenge and I would appreciate if people didn’t tag it or share it as such
