I was chilling with a friend talking about my bf’s campaign idea for everyone to be pirates and we thought about weird races we could play. She wanted to be a cockatrice with a buttery smooth telepathy voice but still with the brain of a chicken, and I wanted to be an Illithid mindflayer pirate with a bunch of magic tattoos. When I was drawing it all I could think of were a bunch of Squidward memes about this monster who makes people feel like their tripping on LSD as he plunders burns their ship into the ocean.
