This is really a big favorite. I feel like the background kinda took me a bit longer than the character, and I had a lot of fun with creating the little mushroomfolks

I was chilling with a friend talking about my bf’s campaign idea for everyone to be pirates and we thought about weird races we could play. She wanted to be a cockatrice with a buttery smooth telepathy voice but still with the brain of a chicken, and I wanted to be an Illithid mindflayer pirate with a bunch of magic tattoos. When I was drawing it all I could think of were a bunch of Squidward memes about this monster who makes people feel like their tripping on LSD as he plunders burns their ship into the ocean.

I drew these rage forms of this story idea I had about the Chinese cardinal guardians as warlords for a DnD world I’ve been wanting to put together. There’s the azure dragon of the west and the black turtle of the north. The other’s will come out eventually I just got to figure out the design for them.
