Skyless is a sci-fi/adventure/fantasy comic series written by Sean Coyle and drawn by Crys Kirk. This is just the 8 page pitch; to help complete the rest of the issue, Emma Gillies will join the team as a colourist, and Sofia Lopez as letterer.
Our story follows two best friends, Neil & Alina, on their quest to restore the sky to dystopian Earth. Think The Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones: a romantic, coming-of-age epic that doesn’t shy away from the harsh reality of death and violence.
So I’ve been doing this tabletop for the last few months with @whoisnotmyname and @rebelapostate, and the last session ended on a very tense note when my boy Cyrus almost got dead!! So here’s Laurust & Gunnjar assisting Cyrus in not bleeding out/losing his arm by cauterizing that artery. THANKS, BUDDY
This is a scene in the campaign that happened wayearlier this year, but I liked it a lot and also I had all these sketches for this comic so it felt like a waste to just never finish them… so here it is!!
It’s read left to right, and the context is that Gideon (the guy) essentially got possessed by the monster they were fighting (the thing behind him) and then impaled Maya (the girl, and also his girlfriend) and knocked her unconscious! Fun times heheheheh
It’s been almost a year since Maya died in the campaign and was brought back by her cool necklace, so to celebrate the occasion she died again!! But it’s fine, she got revivified by Gideon she’s fineee
