LIVE

A look back at nearly 2 decades of X-Men.

Chapter 1

Stranger Of Time (an X-Men and Doctor Who Crossover)

So many battles waged over the years - and yet, none of them like this. Are we destined to destroy each other, or can we change who we are, and unite? Is the future truly set?

–Professor X

“Professor, we can’t go on like this” Kitty said solemnly “How long are we going to have to run and fight for our lives?”

“I don’t know.” He paused

“This war has been going on for decades, I don’t think it will end until we’re all dead.”

“How did all of this start?” Kitty asked

“In 1973, a couple of weeks before the Paris Peace Accords, Bolivar Trask, founder and CEO of Trask Industries, suggests the Sentinel Mark I program to the U.S. Army. They reject the idea, however, and a few weeks later Trask is killed by Mystique in Paris. This made the U.S. Army understand the danger of the mutants and they initiate the Sentinel Mark I program. They later capture Mystique and use her DNA to upgrade the Sentinels so that they can adapt to their powers.”

“Kitty” he paused “How far back can you send someone?”

“I need you to send me back to 1973”

“I can send someone back a month at most without their mind getting ripped apart, but not 50 years.”

“I can do it” Logan chimes in “my mind can regenerate”

“No Logan, let me do it” Xavier demands

“Look, we can’t have anything go wrong to the most powerful mind in the world.

If you went back, who knows what would happen.” Says Kitty

“If you went back like that, the planet could be in danger” says a strange man with a British accent, “but if you need to go back I can help you.”

“Who are you?” Logan says as he brings his claws out

“Boy, you humans really are something.” The man pauses, “I’m The Doctor.”

“Doctor Who?” Asks Bobby

“The Doctor? I’ve heard stories about you when I was a kid”

Says Charles

“Yeah, I’m quite popular. So, what year are we headed to?”

“Who are you?”

Asks Kitty

“I told you, I’m The Doctor, just The Doctor. I’m here to help you.”

“This guy is insane” says Bobby

“I prefer Mad Man”

“Listen to him. He knows what he’s talking about” says Charles

“Are you sure about this professor?” Asks Kitty

“Yes, if this man says who his is is true, then we can trust him”

“But how do we know if we can trust him?” Logan asks while eyeing The Doctor

“Read his mind-” Kitty started but was cut off

“No! Don’t do that, it may be too much for you. If you’ve heard about me Professor then you know how many lives and memories are crammed into my head”

The building started to shake

“Guys! We don’t have time for this, Someone go back in time already!” Bobby yelled

“Doctor, take me to 1973, I to stop Raven from killing Bolivar Trask.”

“I’m sorry, but I can’t let you meet talk to yourself, it’s too dangerous, it could tear the universe apart”

“Then take me” says Logan

“Fine, but one rule: No killing”

“What? You really are insane” Kitty interrupted

“Killing isn’t the only way to get results, killing only corrupts you and leads you nowhere.”

“No promises, Doctor” Logan said through gritted teeth

“Look, you have your rules and I have mine, no killing”

“Logan, do what he says” says the professor

“Fine.” Logan said reluctantly “Let’s get the hell out of here”

“Follow me!” The Doctor said, about to run out of the room, but then a sentinel crashed through the wall

“Oh shit!” Bobby yelled

“Uh, basically, RUN!” The Doctor yelled while running toward the TARDIS

“X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST” (“X-MEN: PRZESZŁOŚĆ, KTÓRA NADEJDZIE”) - NOWY SPOT TV

Ostatni dzień długiego weekendu warto rozpocząć od mocnego uderzenia. Zwłaszcza w marvelowsko-foxowskim wydaniu.

PRZEŁOŚĆ NADCHODZI WRAZ Z NOWYM SPOTEM TV “X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST” (“X-MEN: PRZESZŁOŚĆ, KTÓRA NADEJDZIE”)

Political unrest over the election of Civil Rights proponent John F. Kennedy to the office of President of the United States was already reaching dangerous levels by 1962. During that year’s Cuban Missile Crisis, rumors of “beings with fantastic and dangerous superpowers” began circulating, fueled by eyewitness accounts of naval officers present. The rumors were largely dismissed, but some, including retired US Army Major General Edwin Partridge, were believers.

Partridge was active in the Dallas, Texas political scene, speaking at right-wing rallies and stoking the flames of segregation. He had begun subtly slipping allusions to mutants into his speeches as early as 1961, attracting the attention of violent mutant rights activist Erik Lehnsherr, also known as Magneto.

Lehnsherr recruited 24-year-old Marine Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate Partridge. On April 10, 1963, Oswald completed the job, shooting Partridge in the head with a rifle as he sat at his kitchen table. This event lead the Kennedy administration to commission Project Wideawake, and on the other side of the political spectrum, strengthened the convictions of Partridge’s followers. Mutant hate groups such as Friends of Humanity and the Purifiers sprung up across the American south, and throughout the 1963 “Summer of Hate” at least a dozen suspected mutants were murdered.

A change I think would have made Apocalypse a little better

What if instead of Mystique telling Storm about the Peter and Erik thing (which was completely wrong of her, Storm barely knew them and she just told her another person’s secret?), it was Raven herself the one to have the “are you gonna tell him?” conversation with Peter?

And then when he said that he might tell him one day, but that he was going to stick around for a while, Raven would look at Kurt, him being a little distance away from them, and then she would say “me too”.

There, the exact same conversation, no telling other people’s secrets, and finally doing something with the Raven-Kurt thing! Was that so hard?!

“Avengers: Endgame was Marvel’s first on screen time travel!”
