Summary: After being found on the street and saved by Alfred Pennyworth, 7-year-old Maverick never expected him to take him back home and was accepted with open arms by the very people who lived there, the Waynes. Maverick was adopted by Alfred, taking on the Pennyworth name and duties. But Maverick took it a step further than that.
Maverick had become close to Wayne’s son Bruce, the two boys enjoyed each other’s company and played together, but everything changed when Bruce’s parents were murdered. Bruce had changed.

Savannah Agnes Brightly Carmichael is an investigative journalist for The Gotham Times known for her bold yet enlightening pieces centered within Gotham’s underworld. She shares an incredibly slow romance with Bruce Wayne, which is mainly due to their long, shared history dating back to when they were children; but they almost always end up together. The death of her mother at the hands of her father and the lack of justice served are her prime motives, and the fact that she is yet to actually deliver it in any of her iterations is a running plot point. To cut all ties from her father, she exchanged his surname for her mother’s maiden name after graduating from college. Seeing as her version in Gotham hasn’t even been to college, Carmichael was used as her last name. In the DC Extended Universe, however, she is already married to Bruce by the time of her appearance. Although her opinions about the Batman are undetermined, she has associated herself with him after his emergence as she thought that aside from herself, he is the only one who actually gets results. Throughout this partnership, she eventually figures out his identity; which seemed to have only strengthened their bond.
