All little ones love playing! This is the cute domino tower babygirl built with her own hands! Clever princess! She’s super proud of it but it has also definitely peaked her stuffy penguin Maya’s interest…
Question is: Do you want to see Maya be a shy penguin and pose nicely with the tower….OR….do you want to see her become WRECK-IT-MAYA??
DADDY:*looks at watch* “Oh my! It’s time to finish playing, baby! We got to get you and Tigger ready for bed!”
PRINCESS:*gasps & runs up to daddy, forcing a colouring book & crayons in his hands*
DADDY: “Aww, you want to colour in bed, princess”?
PRINCESS:*turns & runs away before running back to Daddy with a picture book*
DADDY: “…AND, you want me to read you a bedtime story as well?”
PRINCESS:*disappears again, and gives Daddy a DVD*
DADDY: “AND, you want us to watch The Little Mermaid?…”
PRINCESS:*runs off & fetches her tea set*
DADDY: “…AND you want us to have a tea party in bed?! Hang on a minute, missy!…”
PRINCESS:*already off, she adds her Lego creation to the pile in Daddy’s hands*
DADDY: “Listen here, Princess. Daddy is super tired… I’m asking you NICELY to get ready for bed.”
PRINCESS:*stops suddenly. She turns slowly - looking Daddy right in the eye*… “Listenz here, Daddy. Princess is super tired… I is asking you NICELY… to tidy up.”
Jump on mommy/daddy until they wake up and give us attention and get us breakfast.
Be really sleepy and adorable all morning. Or, if this is too hard, be hyper and crazy. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN!!!!!!
Pretend we don’t want to eat breakfast, but we’re just being fussy because it’s fun to be silly on the weekend. And when you get fussy, caregivers tend to get all serious and that reminds us we’re cared for and watched over, so it’s actually kinda nice….
PRETEND WE DON’T EVER ACT FUSSY FOR ATTENTION BECAUSE THAT’S A SECRET ONLY LITTLEs ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW!
Lose stuffed animal (Emergency!!!)
Find the same stuffed animal. (Emergency Cleared!)
Lecture the stuffed animal on not getting lost like that.
Be REALLY FRIGGIN’ CUTE some more.
Have (hopefully tiny) internal crisis about whether or not it’s ok to be little.
Get over it because being little is awesome.
Lose stuffed animal again.
Suddenly realize we are desperately deprived of cuddles….and need to find mommy/daddy THIS INSTANT.
Interrupt caregiver while they do something genuinely productive.
Realize we never found the stuffie the second time.
Throw tantrum or get extra scared until caregiver helps find stuffie.
Find stuffie again.
Cuddle the ever loving HECK out of both the stuffie and the caregiver.
