Denki’s: Birthday Surprise

“Close your eyes and no peeking!” His hands covered yours trying to keep you from peeking. They were bigger than yours and warm. Every time he touched you felt electricity on your skin. “Okay are you ready? Open your eyes!” You opened your eyes and saw the living room covered in balloons! There was a happy birthday sign hanging from the wall and decorations hanging from the ceiling. Presents decorating the coffee table with your favorite cake on display. Tears weld up in your eyes and you whirled around and threw your self in Denkis arms. “Woah babe! Careful there. Did you like it? I know it might not be perfect but I tried really hard. Please don’t cry! I got you your favorite cake and everything.” His arms surrounded you holding you tight to him. “It’s perfect. Everything is so perfect thank you so much.” You pecked his cheek holding him tighter to you.

You pulled back and beamed at him. This was amazing! You were so surprised at how thoughtful he was. You could see him freaking out a little at your tears. “These are happy tears everything is just so so perfect and thoughtful. You did an amazing job.” His worry faded and his excitement shined through. He grabbed something from his pockets and pulled them out. He handed them to you, “I got you those tickets to the amusement park you wanted to go to! I cant wait to go with you I’ll even go to that haunted house with you.”

This was definitely the best birthday ever. The rest of the time was spent celebrating together both appreciate the other in their life. Both thinking they were the lucky ones when they both were to have each other.

Denki AU:

When he finds you sick in bed he freaks out. He closes the door to let you rest while he figures out what the hell to do. He calls his mom, does some research, and even calls Bakugo. He frantically gets all the info he knows to get you help.

He rushes out the door in whatever he can put his hands on. Mismatched clothes and shoes. He rushes to the corner store and gets supplies. He buys 3 thermostats, 10 cold patches. 3 types of medicine, and several hydrating drinks. He rushes back home and gets all your symptoms together. 

You would have thought Denki would have made a big deal while with you but he wanted to make sure you were okay. He quietly opened your door, took your temperature and took note of your symptoms and how you were doing. To be honest you didn’t even know he was there. You never even noticed him taking a cloth and wiping your forehead down. He lay a cold patch for your fever and had you take some sips of the drink he got you. 

Once he knows your okay, he rushes out the door again. Forgetting his wallet and having him go back for it once. He goes to your local grocery store and buys all the ingredients he needs for your food. With a little advice and recipes from online he makes you some gruel. 

He patiently helps feed you and cleans up the room while you get some rest. Once you get a little better he helps you to the bathroom. While you’re bathing he lays out your clothes and cleans your room. He changes your sheets while keeping an ear out for you. 

At night he’s so worried he sleeps next to your bed waking up every hour in case you need him. When you’re feeling better and you’re okay. You’ll never know how happy it made him to see you better and how worried he was that you were sick. When he hugs you after you’re all better you never knew the tears of relief in his eyes. He was so glad you were okay.

Denki Headcanon

One day, when you’re blue and you just can’t with the the day, you just want to hide from the world. You stay in bed wrapped up and snug listening to music just hiding from the world. Denki texts went unanswered until finally you get the strength to reply, “Just not today. I can’t today.” You place the phone down and threw it away from you. You hid your self away again.

An hour later you hear the door bell ring several times. You get up annoyed and open the door. “Hey Sunshine! I brought some things for today. I got all your favorite snacks and drinks. I even got your favorite ice cream! I even picked up a new blanket for you!”

That day even if you wanted to escape from the world Denki showed up and made it better. The sun set with you in Denki’s arms safe and hidden from the world. His hand petting your head and him spooning you. His body pressed comfortably against yours making you feel loved. You felt him take slow breaths as he rested his lips on your head, anchoring you. Laying down in bed with him you’ve never felt safer.

The dust settles over the city that was just turned onto a warzone. There’s smoke in the air, fires across the city, people trapped and calling for help. Stumbling, the hero Chargebolt stands among the wreckage, unsure of what to do. His hand raises to his head, feeling the bleeding cut on his forehead, staining his yellow hair orange and eventually red.

“Hello?” He calls out, turning where he stands, hoping to see one of his friends. In the distance, he catches the sight of the fiery red hair of Red Riot. With quick steps, he makes his way over, “Red.” He calls as he gets closer, stopping short when he sees Red Riot leaning over a body, he’s doing compressions.

“Did anyone else make it?” Red calls over his shoulder, leaning his head down to the chest of the fallen hero. Chargebolt’s hands shake at his sides, it’s your body that’s lying on the ground. “Charge?” Red Riot looks over his shoulder, seeing the state that his friend’s in. “Come on.” He mumbles, turning his attention back to your body.

“Please.” He whispers, staring down at your body, the wounds on you, the pale look on your face. “Don’t go.”

Kaminari shoots up in his bed, hand gripping his shirt over his heart. He’s panting, hair sticking to his face from the sweat that’s built up. He raises his hand, relieved to find no cut on his head before wiping the tears from his face. His eyes dart around the darkness of his room as he sighs, unable to shake the feeling of dread that’s settled over him.

Throwing off his blanket, Kaminari heads to his door and slips right out into the hallway. He contemplated for a moment, what am I doing? They’re asleep. He shakes his head, passing a hand through his hair with a shaky breath. But what if that’s one of those prophecy dreams and they’re in trouble? His mind races, unable to settle on one thought as he walks up to your door.

“You can do this.” He whispers to himself, knocking gently on your door. He shifts anxiously and when your room light doesn’t go on he knocks again. “Please please please.” He mumbles, relieved when the light flickers on and your footsteps can be heard coming up to the door. Your lock clicks and the door opens to show you, half-awake, in your pajamas.

You squint in confusion. “Kaminari?” You rub your eyes, concerned when you see the redness of his eyes. “Are you okay? What happened?”

“Can I come in?” He asks softly, rubbing his arm.

“Yeah, of course.” You step aside, allowing him to walk in before closing the door behind him. “Are you okay?” You repeat, only being met with a rather crushing hug from the blond. You don’t say anything else, gently hugging him back. If he needs to talk about whatever it is he will, Kaminari’s not really one to keep quiet often.

“It was a stupid dream.” He mumbles, his face pressed in the crook of your neck. You rub his back, allowing him the moment to speak. “Some villains destroyed a part of the city. Kiri was there, over y-” he pauses, a shaky breath leaving him. “Your body, he was giving CPR.” He tenses up as he explains it to you.

You pull back enough to cup his face in your hands. “Hey, it’s okay.” You start, getting him to look you in the eye. “The city’s as safe as it can be. Kiri’s still a floor above us, probably sleeping like a rock. I’m okay. Okay?” He nods, allowing you to brush your thumbs across his cheeks, wiping away the tear stains. “If you need anything, I’m just a door away Kami.” He snorts a laugh at the attempted nickname. “You wanna stay here for the night? I’ll kick any bad dream’s ass that tries to scare you.” Kaminari smiles, nodding softly, and allowing you to lead him over to your bed. “We’re gonna be okay Kaminari. Promise.” He nods, laying down beside and, to his surprise, he falls asleep before you do. No nightmares dare to show up that night.

-Denki Kaminari-

• The moment he saw you injured, you were all he could focus on. He didn’t care about the villains getting away, the destruction around him, nothing
• All he could see was you lying on the ground, red all around
• You, you, you, you, you is all he thinks as he races to your side
• His only priority is getting you medical care — to hell with dignity, to hell with those villains
• He’s shaking, bringing you close and doing everything he can to comfort you, whether it be making bad jokes or petting your hair until help arrives
• But… let’s say the villain that hurt you stayed. Was still a threat to you
• Sweet Pikachu boy becomes the stuff of nightmares as he faces that villain
• Electricity is just rippling off of him, humming and crackling with enough energy to make the hair on your arm stand up if you’re just within 50 feet. His own hair is standing on end, arcs of electricity arcing and jumping from him like dozens of little swords
• Anyone would be rightfully terrified
• Especially when they see his eyes — full of a sharp danger that has nothing to do with the electricity bristling through them, sparking with every blink
• Making sure he’s a safe distance away from you, Kaminari knows he can deal with the villain
• So he does — swift and brutal, without a moment wasted on showing off or keeping himself safe
• And then instead of going brain dead, he just stumbles back to your side, gives you a glazed eyed smile, and begins petting your head again as he murmurs that help will be here any second

-Bakugou Katsuki-

• Bakugou was out for blood the moment yours was staining your clothing
• He controlled his anger just long enough to make sure you were getting help before he went after that villain
• And he’s out for blood
• He’s hurling threats, insults, and curses as he chases that villain, basically screaming himself hoarse
• He doesn’t hear Kirishima or Sero yelling after him to stop, to chill out before he gets himself killed
• The only thought on his mind is how limp your body was and how badly this villain needs to pay
• Bakugou corners the villain, explosions rippling off his hands with this downright feral look in his eyes — he’s going to make it very clear that villains don’t get away with hurting you, that there are consequences that should keep them well away from you
• Because while Bakugou does know you can usually handle yourself, seeing you like that made him want to make every villain terrified of so much laying a finger on you
• So he promptly proceeds to beat the shit out of this villain
• It’s brutal to say the least, and Bakugou plays with the villains nerves a bit — constantly dancing just out of reach, diving between the smoke and dust so the villain can never see the attacks coming
• Probably replicates your injury on the villain
• Even as more villains show up to reinforce their partner, Bakugou is only focused on the that hurt you, despite his own growing injuries
• Sero, Kirishima, and Kaminari had to literally drag Bakugou away from all the villains before he was completely overtaken or the villain was killed, because frankly that villain was in more danger than Bakugou was in
• Bakugou was tense and snapping for a fight until you were conscious and recovering, at which point everyone breathed a collective sigh of release, both for your well-being and Bakugou finally chilling out

-Amajiki Tamaki-

• His knees buckled when he saw you go down
• He was paralyzed for a moment, unable to think beyond your injuries
• Then he’s rushing for you, blindly darting between any obstacles between you and him
• The moment he was by you, he summoned some large animal limb — think a wing or fin — to hold you close and shelter you from any more hits
• He started rambling to you, stuttering blindly as he begged you to stay conscious with him (while also holding back tears because seeing you in pain is like a knife in his chest)
• He had a painfully gentle hold on you as he suggested to you every self soothing technique he’d ever known, so you wouldn’t panic
• Tucking you into his chest, he began racing towards the nearest safe place
• He kept you well away from any conflict because he couldn’t stand the idea of having to leave you while he fought, or worse, seeing you even more hurt
• If any villain approaches you, he doesn’t think
• “Don’ttouch them!” is the last thing any villain will hear before being knocked out or thrown far away from you. If you weren’t so focused on your injury, even you would be a caught off guard at how dark his entire expression is
• That said, he’s shaking so, so bad because he’s scared that he won’t be fast enough, that he’ll drop you, that it’s too late, etc
• When he finally reaches help, he refuses to leave your side — which is probably a good thing, because his mind is too fixated on you to be any good in a fight
• Even if he was well away from you when the injury happened, he’ll probably find a way to completely blame himself for it ;-; he’ll be feeling jumpy and nervous we’ll passed the time you’re completely healed
