Prompt: The little notes slipped onto your desk by a secret admirer have you hiding your smile and twirling your hair. Just who is writing his way into your heart?
A/N: And here’s the sixth! This one I actually wrote with a friend on FT, so that was pretty fun! I am sorry to say that the final fic, Levi’s, will have to be postponed to tomorrow - I have some school work that has to be done tonight unfortunately, so only this one for now - but, the last fic of the Candy Hearts Club will be up tomorrow! I hope you all enjoy!

You look exceptionally gorgeous today.
You have my heart.
Your smile lights up the room.
At the end of each sweet note written on notebook paper is an XOXO. No name, no symbolism on who it could be. Just an anonymous, secret admirer, and it made you feel like a schoolgirl in a tropey romance movie. As soon as you found them on your desk, you’d sweep them up and put them straight into your backpack to save until you could read them in the privacy of your own dorm room. Each note held a special place in your heart, all of them either pulling you out of a particularly sad afternoon or lifting your already high spirits on a good day. They were so in tune with your feelings and said all of the right things that you had to savor them.
In a pretty little shoebox that you had just recently decorated and intended to be for UA memories, the notes lay. Folded up, scattered inside that pretty little box were the keys to your heart.
“What have you got there Y/N/N?” Your best friends teasing voice weaves its way into your ears as he snatches the folded bit of notebook paper. Filled with a sense of urgency you take it right back from him and hold it close to your heart.
“None of your business, that’s what.” You respond, eyeing your friend warily. However, if there’s something that Hitoshi Shinsou doesn’t do, it’s quit.
“Nope,” he says, popping the p to further annoy you, “you’ve got something juicy don’t you.” He says, prying further. You bring up your foot to push him back as far away from you as you could so he’s basically across from you in the little study room you two were supposed to be reviewing material for the upcoming test in.
“It’s nothing,” you say, shaking your head to try and get his attention off of you. It was a stupid, stupid decision to open it up with him around - you just couldn’t wait anymore to read it. But just as you were about to unfold the carefully folded paper, he just had to set his eyes upon it.
“It’s certainly not nothing since you’re blushing like a fool over there.” Your eyes narrow at his words and you cross your arms.
“I am not a fool, that is for sure. This is all warranted.” You proclaim, motioning to your face.
“Why, did you get a bad grade on your report card or something?” He asks, clearly trying to get you to reveal what exactly was in the little piece of paper. And finally, you relent.
“It is a love note okay? There, I said it. And it kinda means a lot to me, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to keep it private.” Clear passion leaking from your voice, Shinsou’s gaze towards you turns from playful teasing to one of utter shock. “You don’t believe me,” you scoff, rolling your eyes.
“N-no, I believe you.” You raise an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Uh huh, sure. Wait there, I’ll be back.”
In your hands, the shoebox. In front of you, a visibly sweating Shinsou.
“You wanted proof? Here’s proof.” You huff, flipping the lid open.
“I never wanted proof,” Shinsou mumbled but one look from you shushed him.
“See? Love notes. Loads of ‘em. It’s not a one time thing, not a joke. Some guy in this school really loves me, and dammit, I’m pretty sure I’m in love with him too!”
“What if you don’t even know him?” The purple-haired boy prompts, causing you to pause for a moment. What if you didn’t know him? Maybe he was just some rando who decided to use you on a case study to see if a love note would affect a person’s work ethic or psyche. But, you had a feeling he wasn’t something about the way a voice seemed to be in his words and even the writing - it seemed so… familiar.
“I still think I’d love him.” When Shinsou looks at you, he sees a girl in love, and he loves that expression on your face. He loves that, secretly, he was the one who put that there.
“Hey Y/N/N.”
“Do. Not. Tease me.”
“I won’t. But just hear me out.” You settle into the chair next to him and prop your head up on the back of it. “What if you found out that I was the one that sent you those letters.”
“I told you not to make fun.” You sigh, but the Shinsou come closer to you.
“I’m not.” A beat of silence passes and the tension in the room is so thick it would have to take a meat cleaver to cut through it.
“Prove it.” You whisper. He nods and swivels his chair around to the desk, ripping out a piece of paper from his notebook. It’s horrible, painstaking seconds before he folds the piece of paper and places it gently in the palm of your hand, curling your fingers around it. Swallowing deeply, you unfold the paper and you suck in your breath. The handwriting is identical. You hear Shinsou’s sarcastically wonderful voice hold true through the graphite words. But something was missing. You don’t even realize that your eyes are misting when you look back up at him.
“You forgot to put the XOXO.” Without hesitation, Shinsou cups both of your cheeks with his hands, almost cradling them, and kisses you. It’s the kind of kiss that knocks you off your feet and like your gasping for air after drowning in the ocean. It’s over quickly, lasting for only a second, and you’re shell shocked as he pulls away from you. “I guess there they are,” you say, breathless.
“So you love me then?” He poses, a grin appearing across his face.
“Well I know you love me. What with all of your ‘you make my heart sing’ notes.”
“Did I say that? I don’t think I did,” He quips, gathering you up into his arms. You laugh and grab the shoebox, holding it close to the both of you.
“I could probably dig into this and fish one out,” you joke back, earning a laugh from him.
“I think it’s cute you kept them all. I thought you’d at least thrown one out by now,”
“No way!” You protest, playfully slapping his arm. “You took a lot of time writing those and thinking about them. Unless you just searched up a list of cute sayings.”
“Never, Y/N/N.” You sigh and let yourself fully lean against him, relishing in his embrace. “XOXO, Toshi.”
“XOXO Y/N.”

- makes him feel a little lonely sometimes lol

- literally just listens to it “by himself” but you can always hear it booming from his earphones or from under the door and out the windows of his room
- shared the song w jirou and kiri, they all have a great time listening to it together
- the drums make him feral, he’s learning the drums to the song as we speak
- dare i say it’s his favorite song? i do dare.
- he lowkey kind of asked jirou to play the guitar to the song and took him ages to ask kiri if he could sing it w him
- i love their 3 man band

- this song makes me feel like bakugo is a skater lmao, this is a skating song for me
- bakugo found it randomly and never forgot about it, literally got stuck in his head so easily

denki kaminari
- the song that I was gonna give to shinsou but instead lightning boy got it, banana clip by miguel
- literally only good vibes
- his fav summer song, will also play this at the pool party
- literally slides around and dances when it comes on
- denki and sero are basically dancing buddies when it comes to this song
- pulls out all the stops and literally sings at the top of his lungs
- backflips into the pool and everything
- i love the idea of denki liking mac miller, especially early mac
- so i think he rlly likes kool aid & frozen pizza by mac miller
- also a skating song imo
- like denki has definitely busted his ass skating to this song
- he’ll probably recklessly drive to it, not even bc it’s a hype or fast song but he’ll def feel wavy enough to start swerving in between cars and cutting ppl off bc same

eijiro kirishima
- as a change of pace, i’m trying to go kind of outside of the box for all the boys so one of kiri’s songs is in fact a sublime song
-doin’ time by sublime ft. the pharcyde to be exact
- i think as he gets older he branches out into sublime
- on weekends you can see him sporting a sublime shirt, and he looks great
- definitely also in his summer playlist, this is also a skating song but i’ll give the skating hcs a rest
- he’ll sing the parts where they kind of croon on “it gets harderrr” the exact same way, it always gives everyone a chuckle
- if you’re around for when he’s reciting the pharcyde’s verses, you will be expecting a child in 9 months bc wow he looks great vibing to that song
- likes playing it in earphones BUT you’ll usually catch him playing it out loud, nothing can beat how it sounds in speakers
- if you’re going to the beach and taking the ride in his car this will def come on and it’ll be a fucking vibe
- now for the rock that has to be here for kiri, whatever by godsmack
- kiri will literally drum on his steering wheel while he’s driving, which is so stupid but the song is good man
- i think he’s just a fan of listening to his music out loud bc this is also good in headphones but out loud is *chefs kiss*
- him and bakugo really vibe to this song, bakugo knew the song was for him when he heard “I don’t like you anyway, I don’t need your shit today, you’re pathetic in your own way”
- an honorable mention bc i really wanted to put this one with the idea of kiri and bakugo fucking screaming to this song

- they literally yell the whole song, it was made for them
- will literally fight each other because “until i speak my mind I feel dead” makes their damn quirks go off
- probably their training music but not all the time bc if they’re sparring they’ll beat each other’s ass and actually have a good time
- him and bakugo literally scream in each other’s faces when it hits “still here after all these years, I feel at ease around me peers” bc it’s fucking great
okay so I’ve shipped shinkami for a while and ofc there is the whole young erasermic aspect to it but guyssss! I know the traitor theory is old news but I’m a traitor!kaminari enthusiast (bc I lowkey want my baby to have a powerful arc) and I cant stop thinking about the power dynamic that arc would create-
like can someone write a shinkami fic where they start being a thing or whatever and then shinsou finds out kami is like working for villains and doesn’t know what to do? bc shinsou has really strong beliefs on heroes and has been called a villain all his life. like what would he do, what would he choose, would he protect kami and become the very thing he swore to never be or would he sell him out on his journey to be a proper hero?

HAND HOLDING. izuku absolutely adores holding your hand. he thinks it’s such a classic way to be intimate without being overbearing. he loves how soft and small it feels in his; walking down the street or in the halls with your hand intertwined with his own makes him feel so content and at peace. he also likes the way it let’s everyone know that you’re with him, and he can’t help the pride that swells in his chest every time he thinks about how you’re hisgirlfriend.
HOMEWORK HELP. bakugou would gladly help you with your homework, even if he yaps about how annoying you are for always asking. he wants you to be your best self, and he has no problem with helping you get there. he’s a lot gentler than he is with kirishima because duh, you’re his girl! so yeah, he tries to throw the occasional praise in there, but otherwise, he’s just as brash. at first he questioned if he was still being too aggressive in his tutoring approach, but when you proudly show him your improved grade on a quiz, he fails to hide the small smile that forms on his face at your pure elation. you looked so relieved, and when you threw your arms around his neck in a tight embrace, he didn’t hesitate to wrap his own around your waist and mumble “i knew you could do it, dumbass.”
WORKING OUT TOGETHER. kirishima is so kind and patient, it hurts. he never makes fun of you for how much you lift or how quickly you run out of breath. he’s always there to remind you that you’re doing a great job and he’s proud of you. there’s never a moment where you’re embarrassed of your strength or the faces you make because kirishima would never allow it. he’s always sharing his knowledge with you and he never makes you feel stupid for not knowing exactly what to do all of the time. he loves that you even come along, the fact that you wanna exercise with him makes his heart soar. every time you finish a set, he gives you a big toothy smile and a kiss on the forehead.
GOING OUT FOR LUNCH. todoroki loves food and he loves you. combining the two was honestly the most logical thing to do. your week is usually really hectic, so whenever your busy schedules let up, he makes sure he has you all to himself for the entire afternoon. each outing is some place new, and he never gives you any clues as to where he’s taking you. it’s fun because the both of you get to explore new prefectures and expand your tastes, but mostly because you’re with each other. during lunch, he’ll look at you sweetly as you talk about your day or he’ll tuck your hair behind your ear if he sees it’s getting in the way while you eat. todoroki’s presence makes going out to lunch feel so utterly sweet and domestic, it’s genuinely such a warm experience.
GOING TO THE AMUSEMENT PARK. kaminari knows how worked up you can get, and he’s always eager to help you let loose a little every once in a while. kaminari lets you ease into it with the cute mini games and prizes but don’t get too comfortable because pretty soon, he’s dragging you onto some sort of death contraption. he knows you need to release that tension and stress and what better way to do so than to scream your lungs out on a rollercoaster!hereassuringly holds your hand to let you know you’re okay, but pretty soon the adrenaline is pumping through your veins, and you can’t contain your laughter because holy shit that ride was horrendous. he can’t help but laugh with you, partly because yeah he definitely just shat his pants, but also because after seeing you stressed all week, hearing your laugh is music to his ears.
NAPPING TOGETHER. weeks can be utterly exhausting with classes, training, studying, etc. that sometimes you just want to do nothing, and shinsou is completely in agreement with that. on one particular afternoon, you were in his room, sitting on his bed as you struggled to keep your eyes open while finishing up an assignment. shinsou had noticed almost instantly that you weren’t in any state to keep doing work, so he gently tapped you with his foot. when you looked back at him, he gestured for you to come over and you did. you crawled up to the space beside him and lied down, arm draped over his chest as you closed your eyes. you had woken up about an hour later, content and refreshed as you looked up at your sleeping boyfriend. from then on, taking naps together after school became a regular. relishing in each others warmth and resting peacefully for that hour or two made all the difference.
