As Ella descended the stairs, her heart raced as her mind did. Would who she was, who she really was, be enough? There was no magic to help her this time. This is perhaps the greatest risk that any of us will take. To be seen as we truly are.
“Please?” He extended the shoe toward her.
And Ella slipped her foot into the slipper. A perfect fit.
They stepped out into the foyer to see Lady Tremaine descending the stairs.
And she and Kit left the house together.
Forgiven or not, Cinderella’s stepmother and her daughters would soon leave with the Grand Duke, and never set foot in the kingdom again.
Scuttle flew back to Ariel and informed her of the dastardly deed Ursula had done. Ariel dove into the ocean after the ship, swimming as fast as she could without her powerful tail, Sebastian swam for the sea queen’s help, and Scuttle and Flounder gathered every creature they could to stall the wedding.
Max growled at her.
Max whimpered and retreated.
Vanessa reached the end of the aisle to a bewitched Eric, and the ceremony began. SQUAWK!
Suddenly, a flock of gulls and pelicans descended on the woman, picking at her hair, tugging at her dress and veil, and the ceremony descended into chaos as sea creatures flopped onto the deck, all attacking the bride.
Just then, Ariel reached the hull of the ship and began to climb.
Scuttle went in for the final attack on the bride.
Scuttle yanked.The shell necklace crashed to the deck, shattering, and the light within it floated toward Ariel.
But it was too late… the sun had reached the horizon. The third sunset had come.
Ursula dragged Ariel down into the depths, leaving Eric horrorstruck.

Triton blasted the contract, but to no avail.
And so, Triton took the place of her youngest daughter, the crown falling from her head, the trident falling from fingers, as she withered into one of Ursula’s seaweed creatures.
“At last, it’s miiiiine… .”
Ursula cries out in pain as a harpoon strikes her. She whips around to see Eric, having thrown it at her.
Flotsam and Jetsam easily capture the prince, holding him under water as Ursula aims the trident at him.
And Ursula’s blast instead hit the eels.
“N o ! ! !”
Ariel quickly swam Eric back to the ship and to air and urged him to get back to shore, but he refused. Suddenly, the entire sea around them began to roll and tumble fearfully as a massive Ursula emerged from the depths, now the size of a Kraken.
The waves rolled and circled around her, creating a maelstrom and flinging Ariel and Eric to the depths.
The maelstrom surged around them, dragging shipwrecks from the depths of the sea, jagged and broken circling around the Sea Witch. Ursula aimed her trident at them.
Ursula was suddenly skewered by the bow of a wrecked ship, the momentum from the maelstrom of her own making propelling it through her.
And the Sea Witch was no more, her desire for power becoming her own undoing. And the sea became still at its surface once more.
Meanwhile, beneath the sea, in Ursula’s cavern, the withered souls returned to their original state, and Queen Triton took up her crown and trident once again. But her heart ached, for she saw how heartbroken her daughter was to be separated from the Prince and the land.

Eric had refused to move from the shore since he had washed up there, determined to wait for the love of his life, without knowing whether he would ever be able to see her again.
Triton summoned the magic of her trident and the current began to twist around Ariel.
The name echoed through the darkness, startling the princess.
“Anastasia…” the name echoes again, this time louder and closer, startling her.
Anya emerged from the hedge maze far away from the palace.
The ground shook around them with a deafening echo, and Anya gasped as the memory flooded back to her.
Green demons began to pour from the reliquary, attacking Anya and pulling at her gown and hair.
Bartok flew away into the night and Anya cried out,
The bridge around Anya began to crumble, pieces cascading into the river below.
“How enchanting…” Rasputin taunted. “Together again - for the last time! You’ll get a kick out of THIS.”
The demons sprang forth, seized Dmitri and flew him to a fifty-foot tall sculpture of a flying horse. The statues eyes suddenly glowed green and took off, attacking him.
Rasputin sprang from the swirling depths and seized Anya’s wrist, forcing her to the stone’s edge.
Anya tumbled off the edge of the bridge.
"Right!!” Anya’s voice rang out as she pulled herself back over the collapsing stones.
Anya tackled Rasputin to the stone floor, the reliquary skidding out from Rasputin’s hand. Next thing, it was under her foot.
CRACK! The Green contents of the reliquary suddenly glowed red, cracks ran all along the living horse statue and it exploded, shrapnel knocking Dmitri off his feet.
Resolute, Anya turned to face Rasputin.
CRACK!
The Reliquary exploded, sending Anya and Rasputin flying backwards in opposite directions. The demons, now free of their bondage descended on Rasputin… and he was no more.
A moment later, Anya was at Dmitri’s side, checking for signs of life. “Dmitri?” she asked.
But no response came.
Suddenly she heard movement and a groan from behind her.
She turned sharply, smacking him in the face by mistake.
Seeing him alive, she threw her arms around him.
The sound of Metal against stone distracted them both, breaking the moment. Dmitri looked down to see what he had bumped to discover Anya’s fallen tiara.
The door swings open at the witch’s touch, revealing, not the workshop, but a dark candle lit room. A cauldron the size of a bathtub sat in the middle.
SQUAWK. “Easy on the eyes. Tight pants. Fantastic.”
The Witch shows Merida an iron coin bearing the symbol of two crossed axes.
The Witch begins tossing strange herbs, objects, and things into the cauldron, and brews up a potion.
The witch fishes out a tart from the potion.
The Witch ushered Merida to the door, her spelled cake in hand.
As Merida turns to face the witch, she finds that both she and her cabin have disappeared and she is suddenly back in the circle of stones.

And so Merida returns to the castle, and prepares a tea tray for her mother and places the tart on the tray.
“What’s this?”
Elinor: *takes a drink and gargles it to get rid of the taste* Oh that’s better. Now, why don’t we go upstairs to the lords and put this whole kerfuffle to rest? *takes Merida’s arm and leads her out to the lords*
Elinor: *swoons a bit* Oh!
Elinor begins to swoon and Merida catches her.
Merida takes her upstairs, to her bed, and begins tucking her mother in.
Merida hears a growling noise from where Elinor rolled of down the bed
She walks round to see if her mother is alright, she sees a giant shape rise from the floor and as it turns we see Elinor has transformed into a bear making Merida scream with terror.
A shattered glass heal sat on the desk between the Lady and the Captain of the Guard.
“No one need ever know the truth.”

The Captain comforted him, “Do not lose heart, Kit.”
“Iam king.”
The slipper traveled the length and breadth of the kingdom, visiting every maiden both high and low, and every sort in between. The Grand Duke was true to his word. He spared no effort to demonstrate to the prince that the mystery princess was not to be found. But whatever they tried, the magical slipper refused to fit even the most eligible of maidens. Meanwhile, the Captain grew distressed.
“We haven’t found the girl. I’m disappointed for our king.”

Ella did not know who was downstairs. Nor did she care. For surely no one had come to see her.
Though Ella was sad, her spirit was not broken.
She knew that the ball, and her time with the prince, would become beautiful, distant memories, like those of her father and mother, and her golden childhood.
Ella’s charming melody drifted through the open window to the Captain’s ears below. “Do you hear that, Your Grace?” he asked.
But the Captain was not ready, and stopped the door with his hand. “Just a moment. Madam, there is no other maiden in your house?”
“Then has your cat learned to sing?”
“But she’s lying, Your Grace,” the Captain insisted.
The Captain smirked in triumph, “It would be my pleasure, Your Majesty.”
“We’ll see about that. Miss. You are requested and required to present yourself to your king.”
“Who are you to stop an officer of the king? Are you an empress? A saint? A deity?”
Lady Tremaine looked as though she had been slapped. The Captain patiently said, “Come now, miss.” And Ella followed him down the stairs, her heart racing.
The next day, Eric took Ariel on a private tour of the kingdom as promised. Ariel couldn’t help but stare in wonder at everything, intrigued by the slightest detail. And in turn, Eric could not stop staring at her in wonder as she looked at the world, mesmerized by her curious spirit. He showed her every one of his favorite sights, his favorite places to go when he needed to be alone, and that evening, the most charming place he could think of… a nearby lagoon.
Ariel’s friends were never far away, more than ready to lend a helping hand.
“O.K. All right, this calls for a little vocal romantic stimulation.”
Under Sebastian’s careful direction, the creatures of the lagoon come together to create the most beautiful, inexplicable music. Eric, so distracted by the beautiful woman in front of him, did not register the oddities at play around him, but was filled with the desire to know more about the young lady
Eric laughed, “O.K., no. How ‘bout - Diana?”
Eric wasn’t sure where the name came from, but one came to him from somewhere,
And a smile broke across Ariel’s face and she nodded.
Sebastian’s music continued on behind the couple as they floated along, and Eric shared with Ariel the concerns he had about taking over his father’s crown.
“I just feel so trapped, he said, “I’ll bet you do, too. Not being able to say what you’re thinking.”
The two slowly came closer and closer together, when suddenly…
The boat flipped over, spilling them into the lagoon water.
Flotsom and Jetsom congratulated each, shaking tails, before descending into the depths, unseen by either of the pair…

Ursula’s magic took hold, transforming her appearance into that of a human, but instead of her low, brazen timbre, her laughter became light and melodic… the voice she’d taken from the young princess…

Back at the castle, Eric sat on the wall of his castle, looking out over the sea…. Ariel had retired for the night, and he found himself thinking that perhaps this girl, the one who was right in front of him, warm and caring, was better than a girl who he may have imagined in his water-boggled haze, no matter how hauntingly beautiful her voice may have been…
But just as he’d decided this, he heard something…
A melody floating across the shore…
His eyes desperately searched for the source of the music, and in the distance he could see a figure making its way across the dunes. He strained his eyes to see her better, and in those moments his guard was let down and Ursula’s magic swept over him, warping his mind and entrancing him. This… this was the girl he’d been looking for. There was no doubt of it.
Ariel awoke the next morning to loud squawks from Scuttle, flying in the window and congratulating her on her engagement! The entire Kingdom was buzzing about the news! Prince Eric was to be married that very night. Ariel overjoyed, ran out into the hall, still in her night things.
Heartbroken, Ariel returned to her friends. That evening, she watched from the pier as the ship that carried the couple to their Happily Ever After set sail. Flounder and Sebastian stayed by her, trying to comfort her. But Scuttle… little though he knew about how humans really worked, could tell something was not right… he took flight behind the ship. As he flew about the portholes, he caught sight of the young lady to whom the prince was going to be married, but her meek and mild behavior was gone now.
Scuttle flew back to shore as fast as they could, crying out for Ariel…
Eric took Ariel back to the Palace, where she was doted upon by the ladies of the house, all intrigued by her peculiarities. In the meantime, Grimsby tried to talk sense into the Prince.
Ariel stepped into the hallway, clean, and in a stunning gown.
She took the pipe, which she thought to be a Snarfblatt and blew it like an instrument as scuttle had taught her.
She instantly knew this to be the wrong thing, but neither Eric nor Grimsby seemed to mind.

Louis, in the kitchen is preparing his food most animatedly (and cruelly) as Sebastian looks on.
Sebastian scuttled out of the pan while Louis’s back is turned.
Louis noticed Sebastian’s absence.
Sebastian deftly pinched Louis’s nose and a battle ensued between the two, as the contents of the kitchen went flying.
Pots, pans, flour, and soup covered the counters and floor of the kitchen.

When the dishes were brought out, Ariel quickly rescued Sebastian from Grimsby’s plate, the latter of who suggested a tour of some of the kingdom. Ariel accepted eagerly before retiring to bed.

Meanwhile, back in Atlantica, Triton grew more distraught by the hour, terrified by the absence of her youngest daughter.
“We’ve found no trace of your daughter - or Sebastian.”
A hard lump formed in Triton’s throat as she spoke, “Well, keep looking. Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until she’s safe at home.”
Lady Tremaine arrived back at the house practically on Ella’s heals, immediately ordering her to make tea and biscuits, and she dutifully complied.
Ella couldn’t wait to write down all that had happened, so that she might remember every single bit of it just as if she were telling her mother and father about the palace ball and her time with the prince. Above all, the prince.
And the Prince… at the Palace, his father grew weaker and weaker. The King asked one last time for him to take the Princess Chelina as his bride.
The King looked at his son in admiration, “Just so. You’ve become your own man. Good. And perhaps, in the little time left to me, I can become the father you deserve.” And so the King gave Kit his final blessing; to find the girl he loved and marry her.
Once the time for mourning had passed, a proclamation was sent out; “Know that our new king hereby declares his love for the mysterious princess as wore glass slippers to the ball. And requests that she present herself at the palace, whereupon, if she be willing, he will forthwith marry her with all due ceremony.”
Ella could hardly believe her ears at the announcement and raced home with all speed she had. But upon looking in her hiding spot, she found it was gone.
Ella stood in shock, not answering.
“But with a respectable gentlewoman to put you forward, you will not be ignored. When you are married, you will make me the head of the royal household. Anastasia and Drisella we will pair off with wealthy lords.”
And with a twist of her wrist, she smashed the glass slipper against the wall.
Desperate for a solution, any solution, to get to the world Ariel believed she truly belonged, and to the one she believed she belonged with, she allowed the eels to show her the way to Ursula’s lair.
Ursula painted a compelling picture for the young girl of all the merpeople she’s helped, and the price they pay if they can’t uphold their deal of the bargain, and Ariel listened intently.
A long, slimy tentacle uncurled before the princess.
The contract struck between Ariel and Ursula began to glow, and Ariel grasped her throat in shock as her voice continued on, but without her control. It floated like a light in front of her, drifting toward the witch, and then disappeared into the shell strung around her neck.
Ariel’s tail then began to glow as excruciating pain wracked her body, the feeling that her fins were being splintered apart like shrapnel. She felt each scale contract and bend, twisting and transforming instead into tiny hairs scattered across smooth skin. She felt her chest tighten to the point of imploding, desperate for air, and her vision began to fade to black…

With help from Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, Ariel made it to shore and was clothed in scraps of sail from the shipwreck. Prince Eric and his dog, Max, happened to be taking a walk along the shore just then, only to find…
After Merida’s actions at the clan gathering, Elinor drags and throws Merida into the tapestry room.
Merida points her sword at the family tapestry that Elinor had been working on.
And Merida slashed the tapestry, cutting the held hands between mother and daughter. Elinor looked on in horror, and then furious, seized Merida’s bow.
And she threw it into the fire.
Elinor kneels in front of the fire and maneuvers the bow out of the flames before it burns.

Merida dashes from the castle on horseback, when suddenly Angus throws her from his back. She has accidentally led them to the Ring of Stones and Angus becomes skittish. And then Merida turns and, just as when she was a child, sees a trail of will o’ the wisps, and follows them to an old cottage deep in the woods…
Her eyes scan the interior of the cottage, every inch covered with wooden carvings of bears.
Merida turns and is startled by the woman suddenly very close to her.
Merida’s eyes land on the old woman’s broom, which had kept sweeping on its own after being dropped.
The broom falls to the floor.
Merida’s eyes land on a crow, perched on a shelf.
As Merida slowly extends her hand to touch the crow it suddenly snaps its beak and cries,
It begins performing and flapping its wings about, “That’s not all I can do! La-la-la-la-la….” WHAM! Suddenly the old woman snaps her finger and the broom lifts by itself and knocks the crow out and sweeps it across the floor.
And all of the witch’s carving knives suddenly launched towards Merida, edging her toward the door.
Suddenly the floating knives stop in mid-air.
The floating knives point away from Merida.
Merida reveals her necklace, an intricately carved silver pendant with three bears etched into a knot.
The Crow lands on the witch’s head and squawks, “That’ll set up for months.” The floating knives fall.
The Witch shuffles past Merida, chuckling, then turns and walks back to the cabin.
And so the clans came for the gathering. Elinor dresses her daughter in a very restricting but beautiful dress, and they meet the clans in the entrance hall to welcome them. King Fergus steps forward and says, “So, here we are! The four clans! Uh…gathering…uh…for…” He trails off, unsure what to say.
And so each Lord presents his son, boasting of their accomplishments which grow wilder and wilder. Angry at the ridiculousness of their claims, the Clans quickly devolve into an all out brawl, everyone fighting each other.
Fergus groans, stands, and bellows “SHUT IT!” and the room freezes. “Now, that’s all done! You’ve had your go at each other, show a little decorum. But no more fighting!”
The fight breaks out once more, with Fergus joining in.
As the Queen approached the crowd, those in her vicinity, quickly stopped and quivered under her glare, apologizing profusely. She drags each of the Lords and her husband back to the front of the hall by the ears. Fergus says, “Sorry, love. I…I didn’t…”
Fergus understands that he is to shut up quickly, “Yes, dear.”

And so the games commence, and each suitor approaches his target. First is Young MacGuffin, a burly, quiet lad, who hits the edge of the target.
“Holding up bridges!” Fergus jokes in reply and they both laugh.
Next is Young Macintosh, a scrawny, conceited boy. He just misses the center of his target and dissolves into a tantrum.
The boy flings his bow into the crowd in distress.
“And such lovely flowing locks,” Fergus mocks along with her.
Last is Young Dingwall, a vague, mousy boy who struggles to hold his bow at all, until suddenly he releases the arrow and makes a perfect bullseye. Fergus looks amazed and says, “Well, that’s just grand now, isn’t it? Guess who’s coming to dinner?”
“By the way, hope you don’t mind being called lady Ding…” he trails off when he turns and sees Merida’s seat filled by his dog instead of his daughter.
And she bends furiously, tearing the dresses seams so she can move her arms and back freely. And she releases her first arrow, hitting dead on center.
Merida moves to the second target, aims and shoots center again.
Merida takes another arrow and prepares to shoot the third target.
And Merida releases her final arrow and hits the center of the target, splitting young Dingwall’s arrow in half, clean down the middle.
Lady Tremaine and her daughters arrived at the Ball, where the Prince found himself searching every face for the girl he’d met in the forest. The King noticed this and asked who are you looking for?”
“It’s that girl in the forest, isn’t it? That’s why you were so generous with the invitations.”
“I know you love the people, Kit. But I also know that your head’s been turned. But you’ve only met her once, in the forest.”
“A princess,” the King corrected.
The Court Announcer’s voice rang forth, “Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness, My Lords, ladies and gentlemen, distinguished visitors and people of our land, the prince shall now choose his partner for the first dance. Let our ball commence!” And as these words echoed, the doors swung open once more to reveal…
And Kit’s eyes fell upon the girl and his heart flooded with relief, excitement, and most of all joy.
And so Ella and Kit came together for the first dance of the night. All eyes followed them as they waltzed across the floor.
Annoyed, Lady Tremaine turned to the two closest gentlemen and pried them away from the young ladies they had been speaking with.
"Mademoiselle,” both men bowed and took the girls’ hands.
Kit quietly pulled Ella away from the crowd so they could speak alone. She teased him for calling himself an “apprentice,” and he retorted that he was indeed an apprentice monarch, but apologized for the deceit, which she forgave without hesitation.

The Grand Duke was inexplicably furious at the Prince’s behavior. The Captain of the Guard - who was also Kit’s closest friend - tried to reason with the Duke, and said “People are saying she’s a princess. Our prince seems quite taken with her.”
“But surely, if she is a princess, this may be a good thing.”
“But -” the Captain began, but was interrupted by the previously hidden lady.
"My name…”
And as the word was on the tip of her tongue, Ella was distracted by the gong of the first Bell.
And Ella dashed away, leaving Kit in shock.
As she dashed up the stairs, she ran straight into Kit’s father, the King.
Graciously, he replied, “Think nothing of it, my dear.”
And Ella dove into her carriage, Mr. Goose cracked the reins, and they sped away back to her home…
And so Sophie continued to question her, correct answer after correct answer.
“You hear that child??” Vlad boomed, “You did it!”

Anya burst out of the door interrupting him.
And what an exciting and brilliant time they had shopping in Paris, and Dmitri was left to ponder the destiny of the girl he’d found himself falling for.
And suddenly Vlad was very still as he pondered the magnitude of what Dmitri was telling him.
They entered the theater and began moving toward their seats.
Sophie and the Empress sat in a private box together.
As act one came to a close and the lights rose, Anya’s heart began to race in anticipation.
Dmitri took Anya’s hand and led her out of the house.
Anya began to retreat, but Dmitri grabbed her arms and held her fast, “Hey! Hey hey hey Deep breath.”
“Yes?”
"I’m… I…” he stuttered.
And he entered the box, the door swinging behind him, leaving just a slight crack through which Anya could hear….
