The words “pantser” and “planner” get thrown around a lot within the various virtual writing communities, especially those who participate in National Novel Writing Month. November has come and gone, but writers do not let the changing of the seasons stop their craft. If one is a planner, they find planning out their novel in advance to be most productive. Some people plan their stories for months in advance before starting to write. Conversely, if one is a pantser, they prefer to take a more freeform approach to their writing projects. In a way, the stories of a pantser write themselves because the author is not afraid to take a concept and run with it. 

I am a scientist by trade. My entire life revolves around meticulous planning in order to get the accurate and precise results I need. A byproduct of that is that I seem to not be able to do anything without creating a game plan first. If I don’t, writer’s block sets in and nothing gets done, or I get so focused on one certain detail that the rest of the work falls short. So, I’ve put together a master post of resources to help other planners (and people who want to be planners) organize their thoughts for a productive writing project.

Why I think hating on one direction is stupid

1) The main reason everyone hates them is because they’re “gay”.

Oh, my bad, it’s 2013 I forgot everyone’s a homophobe. Pardon me but what the fuck is so wrong about liking the same gender? Why is it that it’s okay for a man to like a woman but not for a man to like a man? There’s no difference. Plus, who said One Direction are gay. Has anyone officially announced it? Did they say it? I didn’t think so, so sit your ass down. Even if they were what’s the big deal, enlighten me please.

2) They have no talent.

Not like they came third on a show looking for the next big talent, no, who would possiblythink that?

You know, the times when “Where’s Zayn” jokes were made? Yeah well he was working on an art project to donate to charity. 

The boys doodled and signed their life-sized cardboard cutouts to auction off and all money was sent to charity. (I have a photo but I can’t find it as it’s lost within my 1000 pics of one direction oops)

Liam and Harry worked with Trestock and had an auction for the highest bidder to spend a day with them, all money sent to charity.

Oh, and that some percentage (20? Idk really.) of their funds for the WWA Tour, their third tour and the world wide stadium tour, is going to be donated.

They teamed up with office depot to go against bullying.

I’m not exactly the fastest fan, or someone who knows every single detail about the boys so I can’t really list these at the top of my head. I’m definitely missing tons.

2) They’re adorable, period.

3) DON’T EVEN DENY THE FACT THAT THEY’RE BASICALLY EYE SEX.

5) The relationship they have with each other, I literally can’t. The bromances.

Death Stranding Novel Review Master Post

I wanted to record my thoughts and impressions about the book somewhere (as well anything that I think is noteworthy or interesting). I’ll use this post to chain together and separate by chapter. Posts like these I’ll tag as “// Novelization” so it’s easily blockable if anyone doesn’t want to see them (though I will be putting them under a read more.

Fair warning, I tend to be a bit wordy.

First, some general notes:
- The book was written in Japanese first, then translated to English. I’m keeping this in mind while I read since that could mean anything from awkward sentence structure to strange references (translation isn’t exactly a 1 to 1 correlation and all that).

- I noticed that the print is pretty large and spaced out. I admit that I usually read pretty hearty books, though, so this might be more normal for others. I would be surprised if there were even 400 words on a page. The book is 341 pages for reference, not including the index and all that.

- Interestingly, there is a list of characters and some vocab in the front. It includes non-spoilery descriptions of Die-Hardman, Amelie, Bridget, etc. as well as similarly non-spoiler descriptions of BB’s, The Death Stranding, and Bridges. These things are still talked about at length in the book, so I’m wondering why they were included in the beginning.

-It should go without saying that my review will include game & book spoilers. It’ll also probably be rife with my own opinions and interpretations, obviously.
