I admit that I don’t like Dorothea in the academy phase (before the timeskip).
Dorothea exasperates me too much when she talks about her contempt for the nobility (her hatred is understandable due to her past as an orphan who lived on the streets), but sometimes her hatred reaches the absurd with people who never did anything to her, for example in the case of Ferdinand and the irony that all her friends within the academy are of nobility.
However, after the timeskip is when the consequences of the war affect Dorothea too much, which creates a fragility in her, a young woman who feels like a withered rose that only has thorns left and fears of losing her friends in the battle, where you see a bit of hopelessness in the future that she wants, which generates empathy for Dorothea and her support A of her with the other characters, develops her better and begins to have more character and accept the promising future that she always longed for (especially when she slaps Felix’s bastard, when he insults her, that makes my day).
