#dousan clan

I posted this really late, but this is a birthday present for one of my dearest friend on the whole planet @thanatasia! This is her OC Fleur based on the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance series, which holds a special place in her heart and I wanted to convey that in this image, I am also a big fan and I was extremely upset to have seen that the series was canceled on Netflix! But I’m sure the Henson company will find a way to continue it, they always have !

Late Christmas/thank you gift for my bestest friend in the universe @thanatasia!

I wanted to make something festive with our Gelfing Oc’s, since this year felt kind of hard to be in the festive spirit. I still wanted it to feel Dark Crystal enough, so I added the Fizzgigs, I have a lot of trouble with gelfing clothes so I just dressed them up in a cute Christmas outfit  and popped them on top of a glass filled with sparkly jelly (I was inspired by a anime statue I saw at the store) Hope you all had a good Holiday !

Fleur was so fun to draw and color! I feel like Fleur would help my Vapra Oc Bora (who Thanatsia helped me with a lot on design and story wise !) come out of her shell and get her to be less shy with her outgoing attitude, if they ever met on Bora’s journey, I was trying to convey both their personalities in this image as well!

Bora the Vapra belongs to me!

“Myrn is a renowned Elder living in the Dousan’s Wellspring. She is known as "Silver Face” by the Xerics she helped because of the tattoos covering her face. She has so many of them that it’s hard to tell her natural skin from the tattooed one, painted with one of the rarest pigments. How she obtained it is a mystery.

So’nan is also what we can call mysterious. Kind and gentle with his peers, he is quieter than a Dousan normally is and the scar on his ear reveals a troubled past. The clan knows that he is a retired Crystal Skimmer Pilot who is now Myrn’s assistant, but what they remember the most is the sound of the percussions he plays during their funerals, sounds that reminds them of the wind and the heartbeat of a Crystal Skimmer.“

I had these two drawn in a notebook for more than a year and I’ve never made an actual finished piece for them. So for Age of Resistance’s 2nd anniversary (on other social medias) and for @createforthra​​ day 2, I’m finally posting them! I was more of a Skeksis fan with the movie, but the show made me love the Gelflings with the diversity of their cultures and clans. So I made Myrn and So’nan from my favorite clan (with the Sifas) the Dousans!
