Witch from the Carmine Marsh Kingdom practicing the path of the “Echidna Disciple”, which demands intense ritual meditation on the mutability of the self and the perfection of the Godhead Mother in her Destroyer Aspect.
At the deepest point of ego suppression (The “God Head World”) witches tap into a wellspring of righteous hatred - grasping the form of this hatred and becoming one with the principle allows them to return to the surface reality (The “Death’s Head World”) as a conduit for Echidna force, manifesting the most profound elements of the self in incarnate flesh.
Traditionally this practice comes easiest to those who have been subject to hatred themselves - Echidna Disciples are most often members of groups scorned by society through no fault of their own, and the justice inherent in their ease of communion with the Destroyer Aspect is colloquially known as the “Reward of Exile”.

Echidna really just took the top spot for best girl of this show just like that, huh.
(In the end she is probably a villain from what the trailer implies, but right here, right now she’s shown nothing but the upmost care and kindness. Honestly she kinda hit me hard with this scene right here was not expecting such a performance.)

Various illustrations created for another Earth Touch / Smithsonian Channel documentary - CRAZY MONSTER: DIGGERS, which will air on June 16! The illustrations are used as an interlude to each species and were animated as well, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how that turned out!
