Broke: Peter Parker can’t be Iron Man!! He’s Spider-Man!! I can’t believe they are going to put him in armor and make him Iron Man!!
Woke: Peter Parker is going to carry on and honor the legacy of Iron Man by always helping those in need- by being a hero. “The next Iron Man” is symbolic for the superhero legacy and the void that Tony left. Peter Parker will have to find strength within himself to keep fighting the good fight, and along the way find himself. Spider-Man’s story has always been about loss and defining oneself through it, and Peter will be facing this emotional journey to truly become the Spider-Man.
Superior: the point of Spider-Man’s story has always been Peter coming to the realization that him being Spider-Man is enough. “I wanted you to be better,” said Tony, and Peter doesn’t have to be another Iron Man - he just has to be Spider-Man. he doesn’t have to be an heir to the Stark empire or an Avenger to be a great hero. he’s Spider-Man, he’s Peter Parker, and that’s what he will have to come to terms with.
I really wished they included more Irondad scenes. Even before Peter got brought back I feel they should have mentioned him more. He was a big part of Tony life. When Tony got off the ship and said I lost the kid it just broke my heart. And when Tony started at the pic of them and he decided to try out the time machine idea that made me feel so many emotions. But honestly if this was gonna be Tony last movie they should’ve added more scenes of the two of them together or at least have Tony mention Peter more. Like Peter gets dusted then brought back and thrown into the scariest battle of his life and then he has to watch his mentor die. Another person he’s grown to love die right in front of him. FFS include more scenes of them together. At least flashback scenes or something.
Scenes That Should’ve Happened (Literally Any of these scenes, I would’ve been down for 4hr movie if it meant for Irondad scene)
When Tony was tucking Morgan into bed and told her the story about “Morgan going to bed the end” it would’ve been so sweet if Morgan said “no I want another story about the Spider-Kid ( or any nickname/variation of Spider-Man) and how he helped save the day
In the background of Morgan’s room include pictures she’s drawn and have some of being red and blue scribbles to imply it’s supposed to be Spider-Man
Tony having a conversation with Pepper about the risks involved and him listing all the risks/cons involved and says “ there’s a thousand reasons why we shouldn’t try and the only reason to try …” and Pepper finishes his thought by saying “ the reason to would be to get back your other kid”
Include a dinner scene where Cap, Nat, Scott are eating with Tony and his family. And it’s awkward and tense. Cap keeps trying to bring up doing the time machine. Tony keeps shutting him down. Pepper sensing a fight coming tells Morgan to go to her room to “get some of your drawings so you can show daddy’s friends” to try and diffuse the situation. As soon as Morgan out of view Cap or Nat say something and Tony responds with “ you guys need to move on” and Cap respond with “ like you moved on from Peter. Forgot all about him, how’s that working for you.” And Tony pissed off leaves all dramatic. And there’s just a steely tension in the room before Morgan comes bouncing down the stairs and shows of her drawings to the table. And she gives it to Cap first. And while he’s looking through them she tells him it all from a bed time story her dad tells her. About a special kid who can climb on walls and saves peoples and how they used to fight crime together. And at that moment Cap realizes Tony never forgot about Peter but was keeping his memory alive by telling Morgan stories about him.
After the funeral include of scene of Peter with Pepper. And them just hugging it out. Morgan comes over shyly and clings to Pepper side. Peter introduces himself to her and tries to says how he’s sorry and knows she must be really sad but it’ll get better and how her dad loved her a lot. The same thing he was told when his parents died. Morgan just runs up the stairs. Peter thinking he screwed up feels guilty and is about to leave. When Morgan come back down she has a scrapbook in her hands. She gives it to Peter and says how her daddy always talked about him. And Peter opens the scrapbook and it’s filled with Peter fighting crime, Peter winning awards, Peter with Tony in the lab. And while he’s flipping through the scrapbook he’s telling Morgan tidbits about each photo. And the last page is a press release/news clipping about Morgan being born. And it cuts to Peters face as he reads it over tears stream down his face. Then the final scene is a close up of the clipping which shows a happy Tony and Pepper holding baby Morgan. And the headline is “The World Welcomes Morgan Peter Stark.”
